WASHINGTON — Republicans are intensifying their attacks on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson after weeks of publicly reserving judgment on President Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, before historic hearings on the first Black woman to be put forward as a justice.
Republican leaders, wary of engaging in a potentially racially charged spectacle that could prompt a political backlash, have promised a dignified review of the latest Supreme Court candidate after a series of bitter clashes over the court. But in recent days, with the approach of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearings on her nomination that begin Monday, their tone has shifted.
Last week, Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., who sits on the panel and will question Jackson, claimed his review of her judicial record had determined that she had been lenient in sentencing some sex offenders and those convicted of possessing child pornography. He also suggested that, as a member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, she worked to reduce penalties for those caught with child pornography. A detailed background paper prepared for the Judiciary Committee made a similar case.
The increasingly hostile critiques of Jackson suggest that her confirmation hearings might not be the sober, drama-free proceeding that many had anticipated when she was nominated to replace Justice Stephen Breyer, who has announced he will retire at the end of the court’s current term this summer.

Fact: Anyone offered by Biden to sit on the Supreme Court will be a leftist/Marxist/Commie/etc. Why is so wrong to vote against confirmation on this basis alone? Every Republican Senator should do so. Any Republican that doesn’t should be kicked out of the party.

The only real question to this show of a confirmation hearing is, will more than ten Republicans vote for her confirmation, or will it be less than ten.
First question: Do you believe the Constitution permits discrimination based upon gender and race in the nomination and appointment of public officials?

I don’t understand. Isn’t Breyer still on the bench? How do they have confirmation hearings for a seat that isn’t open yet?
Because the FACTS of this nominee’s judicial decisions, as FACT, fly in the face of Constitutional approval by each Senator. They cannot rubber stamp prior proven judiciary fiat in areas like sex offenders and the paedophile networks inside the Rings of power in DC. They cannot and should not- and RACE has nothing to do with it.

Maybe some people are so invested in attacks against the candidate that they don’t see an underlying motive. Could Biden be setting himself up with a “get out of jail free” card after the end of his White House residency? After all, he is the Sniffer in Chief of young girls...
