Look who supports Russia - long list of US enemies.
The world rarely neatly arranges ones enemies on one “side”.
The Romans often had to deal with rebel generals at the same time as barbarians coming over the border.
The Afghans overcame the Red Army. The Ukrainians should keep fighting to push these invaders out.
[Soros, Zelensky, the Demoncrats are all calling for war, never heard a call for negotiations yet. ]
Also the US Army doesn’t have Field Marshalls. Four stars are General of the Army. Five stars don’t happen often but they’re not Field Marshall. That’s a European thing...
Good riddance.
Putin did tear up the Belgrade Memorandum, which explicitly guaranteed Ukrainian territorial integrity. That was a vastly important promise, trading nuclear weaons for security guarantees. What nation will ever accept such a promise again?
[Thanks for some common sense. Zelensky needs to stop sacrificing his people if he cares. Surrender. It’s the only way to stop it.]
Just think of who is for Ukraine:
(1) Soros
(2) every democrat including Brandon
(3) every republican neocon having orgasms at prospects of war with Russia
(4) almost all MSM including 90% of Fox news.
Just based on that list, my knee jerk reaction is to not pick sides. We certainly do not need another foreign war with $30T in debt and climbing.
Looking at actual video’s on news, I see building after building in Ukraine turned to rubble, while all buildings in Russia not even had glass windows shattered. If this war continues for another 10 days, Ukraine will look like Germany during WWII.

Exactly, I have seen a war, lived it. Ukraine is toast. They have lost. Having lived, worked in a Moscow, and trained Russians, I know they will support Vlad with their first born sons. Russians know war, shortages, deprivation…last time I was there they laughed at sanctions.
Time for Zelensky to seriously negotiate, and put to rest his calls for war, war, war. He is destroying Ukraine.
Thats why you have to turn to third parties, “open source” compilations, and do your own analysis. Actual analysis, takes some work, not hot-headed negativity.
We will see of course, but such certainties have a habit of wearing away. Ukraine is not an existential matter for Russia, obviously not after 30 years away.
It’s settled then. Mordvichev was, at the very least, a “big deal”, and so, his death, a big loss.
Putin is destroying Ukraine.
Hey, about that tagline:
Blockade of Cuba by USA was OK, but NATO weapons seeking Ukraine invasion not acceptable to Neocons!)
The U.S. permitted Soviet troops and conventional weapons to be in Cuba for decades, both before and after the Crisia. We only drew the line at nukes.
Russia, in contrast, believes it has the right to prevent NATO troops or weapons in Ukraine. So if you were trying to demonstrate hypocrisy with your tagline, that hypocrisy in on the Russian end.
Entropy12 is Indian. I think there's a part of the Indian psyche that's been brainwashed by self-serving Indian ruling class propaganda about how the Soviets helped keep the neo-Mughals to the north in line, so Bharat wouldn't end up being butchered the way Bangladesh (aka East Pakistan) was, by Yahya Khan.
In reality, the Indians allied with the Russians from the start because of some chip on their shoulder about the Brits and the notion that as the seed of Albion, the US was somehow tainted by association. This instinctive revulsion makes me dubious about India being an ally on anything other than a Chinese invasion of India.
I understand entropy12's take on things - he was born in and grew up in India. What else is he going to think about Russia? The problem is this weltanschaaung pervades every aspect of Indian strategic thinking. Maybe things will change in a couple of generations. We'll see.
I’m still willing to give Zelensky some slack. Maybe he’s dirty but he’s only been there since 2019. And he wasn’t anywhere near politics before that. No question about the dirt level in the Uke tho: Obamadingdong and Bidumbdum made sure of that-—not to mention klintoon getting it started. Note that Z-man doesn’t yet have a Dacha. So I’ll hold off on him, at least.
The Russians will revert to smoke signals. They can do because a lot of their destroyed armor is smoking.
Zelensky needs to stop sacrificing his people if he cares. Surrender. It’s the only way to stop it.

Not entirely so, Vlad invaded because the Ethnic Russians in the break away eastern provinces were being shelled by the Ukies since 2016. The UN recorded 22,000 deaths by Ukraine. The Donbas provinces have been a thorn in the Ukies side for years…..common sense would tell me if they were such a problem, let them have their independence- ditch them- war over….no need to “ surrender “, just let the Donbas have their independence.
The calls for war, war, war, backing the black hats , is getting annoying. Both sides deserve no support. How about calls for peace, peace peace?
Zelensky needs to get negotiating before his entire eastern countryside is turned to a smoking pile of ruble- he is failing his nation, and goading the west to a world war.
That’s a lot of fruit salad going bad.
I read an article on Russian demographics. The average age of the Russian citizen is 40. The country has a shortage of young males to take the casualties it did during WW2...and partly because of the killing off of a generation of young men that would have fathered more children.
The Soviets pulled out of Afghanistan in part because of its losses that led to what was called “the revolt of the mothers.” I’ve seen reporting that a second ‘revolt of the mothers’ may be brewing right now. And link that to the anti-war movement that appears to have started.
Putin is bringing in Chechens and Syrians because he can’t afford the losses he is taking.
Well, sucks to be him.
I’m curious as to why so many freepers think they have some God-given right to all the accurate sensitive truth of all sides?
We are looking at the fog of war through a glass darkly - the best we can finagle out of the void is the best we’ll have today. It may change, it may not.
C’mon, people, it’s nothing personal.
