The Donbas provinces have been a thorn in the Ukies side for years…..common sense would tell me if they were such a problem, let them have their independence- ditch them- war over….no need to “ surrender “, just let the Donbas have their independence.

Why should the Ukraine give up the Donbass just because the Soviets emigrated a bunch of ethnic Russians there generations before. If their descendants are happier as Russians let them move back. Vlad has a declining population, especially amongst his preferred Russian ethnicity. They’d be welcome and there’s plenty of space for them. Plenty of precedents for that. Heck, after our Revolution plenty of Loyalists fled to Canada. As for the value of the land and resources they’d leave behind call it a down payment on the Russian debt for the Holodomor, etc.
Vlad wants more than Donbas. He wants everything south & east of the Dneiper and most of the Black Sea coast.
That’s a big issue, that he’s pushing the west to war. We need to avoid that at all costs.
