My guess is that Hoeft may have been part of the logistical tail rather than the tooth part of the Army (i.e. a combat infantryman). Ukraine presumably doesn't need too many male versions of Jessica Lynch with minimal or no combat skills or experience, given the pre-existing handicap of a language barrier with foreign fighters.

“with associations with the American far-right group Boogaloo Boys”
Boogaloo Boys are not “far-right” and they are not a “group”.

[Boogaloo Boys are not “far-right” and they are not a “group”.]
While “far-right” is now a catch-all descriptor for everyone liberals don’t agree with, just like “insurrection” is now the official uniparty descriptor for the Animal House romp through the Capitol building, the rest of the article stays pretty close to the facts. It’s possible they rejected Hoeft because he was not part of the US Army’s combat arms, and they don’t need typists who are illiterate in Ukrainian.

Did Henry wear a Hawaiian shirt into battle?
Boogaloo Boys were an internet prank. More proof we’re getting bullsh*t from the usual suspects.

What are you talking about? What’s up with the innuendo? Do you know Freepers who went to fight in Ukraine but did make the cut or something?

Th “Boogaloo Boys,” along with the idea that the “OK” sign, Hawaiian shirts, Khaki pants with button-down or polo shirt, are emblems of a white supremacy meovement, are all jokes made up by 4Chan to make leftists look like idiots, and they bought it.

Could very well be. If the Ukrainians have more volunteers than weapons with which to supply them, then give the weapons to someone who knows what to do with it. Even if they have enough weapons, it does not make any sense to bring on board someone who is not reliable. And this Hoefft guy — if he is even a real person — sure as hell does not sound as if he is reliable.

I'll read the Daily Mail if I need to know what Kim Kardashian or Bella Hadid had for lunch yesterday.

Love it and that's pretty much what it was. Great analogy. I'm going to steal it :)

I’d be ridiculing him myself.
It’s amazing that some are convinced their playtime on a computer war game translates onto the battlefield.

I saw a picture of Milley a couple of days ago. His uniform was all wrinkled up and mis-sized. Those guys used to be called “duffle bags”. This has left me wondering about something. Knowing that he isnt deploying anywhere and knowing about his tendencies, does that make him a “make-up bag”?
