David Axelrod, Barack Obama’s former political consultant, curbed President Joe Biden’s constant claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin is somehow the only person responsible for soaring inflation numbers and skyrocketing gas prices — which started before the unprovoked attack on Ukraine.
“Why not just be blunt with people … now they’ve overcorrected, and for a few days he [President Joe Biden] was saying, you know, everything was Putin’s price hikes, inflation was Putin’s fault,” Axelrod said during a recent episode on the Hacks on Tap podcast he helped start.
“People don’t believe that either. They know that we had inflation before this,” Axelrod continued. “They know that guy prices were high before this. They haven’t dialed this in quite right yet. You can’t blame everything in the economy on Putin.”

So dave, who did you vote for? LOL! As for not blaming pootski for everything? Don't be silly. Obviously you CAN blame him for everything. So says your commander in cheese and his spokesperson peppermint patty. Someone is liable to get their democommie party card yanked if the keep stating mis/dis/mal-information like that.
Don’t let the cockroaches scurry away from the mess they made.
The midterm polling must be horrific...
What this really means is that Obama has plans for moving forward that do not include Biden as President. Axelrod wouldn’t be out there saying that unless it’s meant to start the transition.
Axelrod is a greasy character.
When you’ve lost David Axelrod....
Its likely been the plan all along - make the quantum leaps in policy with old man Biden absorbing the political consequences, then bring in a ‘reasonable’ candidate who will distance him or herself from the stooge but who will basically consolidate the changes Biden made.
They are the masters of projection.
I saw a compilation of the talking heads of the MSM using ‘Putin’s Price Hike’ over and over on all channels like good little commies...........................
“The midterm polling must be horrific...”

If the GOP doesn’t find some way to monkey it up (and they are capable of that!), I expect an electoral bloodbath.
Between this and The NY Times now covering the Hunter Biden laptop story it appears the Deep State Media are ushering Slow Joe off stage.
Even the most stupid can see thru this excuse. Its like the dog ate my homework.
All we need to do is largely be quiet, and point out everything the Democrats, especially Joe & the Ho, have done.
No one should expect anything from a majority GOP outside their tinkering around the edges to try to soften the impact of these policies on the hoi poloi.
Getting us back to where we should be as a nation will take a complete party overhaul.
‘’ People don’t believe that either. They know that we had inflation before this,” Axelrod continued. “They know that guy prices were high before this. They haven’t dialed this in quite right yet. You can’t blame everything in the economy on Putin.”

Exactly. A savvy politician will also point out that Putin invading Ukraine is a pretty low bar for the economic destruction these rising prices inflict on the average worker. Thats a tough sell when you have to cancel a vacation or what not and those making it look way out of touch, much like those buying this Ukraine propoganda
I think you are right but The problem for them is Kamala. They have sent her out and she has been a movable train wreck. One disastrous presser after another. I think they are going to cheat at levels we cannot imagine. Here in Michigan they just floated the story that we may not be able to have paper ballots because of a “paper shortage”.
Axelrod must be aware that if you don’t know the source of the problem you certainly can’t fix it. Biden will continue to be blamed for the problem as long as it exists regardless of whomever he tries to pin the blame on.
Like Carville he throws us a bone from time to time. Works.
Pecksniff forgets Øbowel blaming everything on Bush to the point of absurdity?
