Edward Bornstien was pulled over for DUI and refused a field breathalyzer so was brought to the police station where they got a court order to take a blood sample, his family says he initially refused because he his scared of needles, however before police forced him on the ground he said would provide the sample willingly. He was in handcuffs the whole time.
This video was released as part of a federal lawsuit involving the CHP and the officers involved. I couldn't find any news article or police report involved, just some local news segments and the raw footage.. Even Google search was no help because no one is covering this.
He was the wrong skin color so there will be no mostly peaceful protests, kneeling at sporting events across the globe, murals, autonomous zones, gold caskets, people chanting his name or anything else marking this injustice. Edward Bornstien is no more than a statistic to the media and the public at large.

This video is horrific to watch. They kill the man and then don’t realize he is dead for ten minutes. It is hard to watch how incompetent these officers are. The medic should lose his California license immediately.
Gross negligence in protecting the prisoner. Gross negligence in recognizing he has died. Inadequate knowledge of CPR and how to use a AED.
Everyone in that video makes close to or over 100 k a year with pension for life .
They all should go to jail.

You are correct sir. No riots are planned. It DOES go to show, however, that certain lives really DON’T matter. Where I worked, we got CPR training every year, for 25 years. We could almost do it in our sleep. I was not impressed.
Very disturbing video. But it proves without a doubt that you should ALWAYS comply with the officers directions. Your life could depend on it, especially if buffoons like these cops are on the scene.
That was way harder to watch than Floyd. I had to fast forward through the screaming.
I can’t speak as to California, but in Texas if you are simply pulled over for suspicion of driving while intoxicated or impaired you can refuse breath or blood. What you are offered is at the officer’s discretion. You will have your license suspended if you refuse the test, however you can not be forced to submit to either.
That being said if there was a fatality involved, such as in an accident, you can be forced to submit to a blood test in accordance with a court order.
This looks like a damn shame to me and I think there are some officers in the video that should lose their badges and be in prison.
Because what they did was institutionalized murder, that’s why. They did NOTHING for at least 13 minutes after wasting huge spans of time trying to find a pulse, playing like there was something (pulse?) there.
They had a mat, didn’t appear to be ‘necking’ him and all that but what I find most egregious is the blatant uncaring attitude of all of the participants in this. There was no sense of speed or urgency in anything they did. Over 15 minutes to start heart compression and then dawdling on deployment of the AED.....It is disgusting.
Beyond a doubt……..the Most inept incompetent “nurse” I’ve ever seen in my life.

His License should be pulled and revoked.
That's great advice to give your kids, but also tell them to appreciate the rebelliousness of the American spirit, and to give thanks for those Americans that do not obey. It's why America isn't Germany or Japan.

This reminds me of Daniel Shaver, an unarmed man who was shot to death in cold blood by a cop several years ago even though he was begging for his life. Because Shaver was white, there was no press attention, no one protested, and the murderer was never brought to justice.
You make a good comparison. But even still, the take away must be this: never get Biden faced drunk and argue with the police.
He was trying to comply, but these thugs took it upon themselves to use brute force and stupidity.
They all belong in prison.
