Russian troops have launched an attack on a theatre in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol where as many as 1,200 civilians including women, children and the elderly, were taking refuge.

I would think highest priority targets might include ammo plants, arms factories, nitrate factories, diesel stores (fuel for tanks), machine tool factories and metal casting plants.
If there is a Ukrainian anti-aircraft gun nearby there will also be a falling Russian bomb or shell as well.
The Russian may also lob shells into parks to rattle the civilians.
If a Ukrainian general is communicating from his residence, the residence might come under fire.
By giving them propaganda fodder so shills like you have something to crow about on forums? Sounds legit.
Civilians in the Donbas have been getting shelled for eight years now in events few Western media found newsworthy.

It took Germany several months to defeat Ukraine in WWII...it’s not a small country.

Information allegedly came from Mariupol locals ( reminder - they are mostly ethnic Russian) that
neo-Nazi from Azov gathered Mariupol women, children & elderly into the building of Mariupol drama theatre and are going to blow it up, blaming the victims on “Russian shelling”

This was written three days before the explosion.
There was also a person from Azov who surrendered a few hours ago and reported about the theater.
As for Azov’s behavior : Mariupol is occupied DNR, Azov sees it as a hostile territory and has no problem with killing civilians... they were doing this for eight years.
If it were up to me Putin and his Generals and the Western fools and Zelenski who choreographed all this would get the high jump.
But trying to understand something doesn’t mean agreeing with it. It was guaranteed that Russia would never let the Ukraine fall too far out of it’s zone of influence. Russia will never allow its interests in the Black Sea, it’s only European warm water access, to be threatened. The Western Deep State thought it could corner Russia by enlisting the Ukraine to block Russia’s access. How foolish can one get? I predicted that Russia would go nuclear if necessary to protect it access.
Is this fair? No. Is it just? No. But it is reality. Zelensky is a fool. Another thug who jails his opponents and shuts down rival newspapers. The Ukraine is as dominated by Oligarchs as Russia. Why is Zelensky better than Putin? Eff ‘em all. It’s the people at the bottom, the one’s who work the jobs and raise the families and make the society work, who end up paying in blood while the Zelenskis and Putins and Kerrys and Bidens rake in the millions. Eff ‘em all.

But for a Russian army that wants to pressure the Ukrainian government, and doesn't want to engage in urban combat in Kyiv...killing civilians is one way to perhaps make that happen.
Now, maybe that's what happened here and maybe it isn't. I was just addressing the argument that killing civilians cannot serve Russian interests.
