Nobody understands why we're dealing with Iran through Russia

As Ed pointed out earlier today, it’s already obvious how insane it is (the appropriate word) for the United States to be offering sanctions relief to Russia in the middle of a war in exchange for getting Iran to sign off on a meaningless and largely unenforceable deal. That’s particularly true when you consider that Iran just dropped a number of missiles around one of our facilities in Iraq. But it’s not just pundits and foreign leaders who are confused by the Biden strategy (to put it charitably) in these negotiations.

---SNIP---

You’ll notice that she repeats variations of the phrase ‘Iran must never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon’ multiple times. But there is no indication given as to whether or not this supposed new deal would even achieve that goal.

All this high level diplomacy is hard for a rube like me to understand but as long as the the Biden admin toadies keep saying Iran must never have a nuclear weapon I am not going to worry.

<< You’ll notice that she repeats variations of the phrase ‘Iran must never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon’ >>

Translation: We will do everything in our power to turn Iran a nuclear power in short order.

Biden admin toadies keep saying Iran must never have a nuclear weapon

The problem is they don't have any intention to prevent it.

Why would expect this to make sense? Nothing else the administration does makes any sense either.

Most of what they do is guided by self-interest, personal aggrandizement, party politics, and/or resentment toward this country.

Biden is dealing with Iran through John Kerry. The real brake on what Iran gets and is allowed to do will be Israel. Kerry would do everything and anything to help the mullahs.

Just keep listening to CNN, MSNBC, NY Times - and repeating the slogans about Covid, Ukraine, Iran, etc... sheeple.

I think that getting Iran to nuke Israel is one of the goals of the current administration.

Of course, haven't they married into his family?

Kerry has close personal relationship with Iranian rulers! From a few years ago... “...As if just being John Kerry wasn’t bad enough, now we know that our newly minted Secretary of State has family ties in Iran. The Daily Caller is reporting that Kerry’s daughter, Vanessa, married Behrouz Nahed, a resident physician in Boston.

Nahed may be a fine fellow for all we know. What’s concerning is that he has relatives remaining in Iran. An Iranian government web site posted pictures of the married couple in February, you remember, just about the same time Kerry’s confirmation hearings were underway.

Shortly after the wedding, the couple visited the relatives in Iran.

Thus, the question becomes: Did the Iranian government post the photos as a subtle warning to Kerry, letting him know that the thug regime is fully aware of his relationship to his new son-in-law’s family?”..

“Thinking rationally, it would make no sense for the Iranian government to round up and torture Nahed’s family since Kerry is no threat to the regime and its nuclear program. But, we’re not dealing with rational actors. Tehran just acquired a brand new bargaining chip against the United States via John Kerry’s family...”

“Stupid” and “traitorous” are not mutually exclusive.

I don’t understand why Americans elected Brandon. 11 million more votes than Trump? How stupid are some of us?

“11 million more votes than Trump? How stupid are some of us?”

The gap was 7 million.

Sorry I did not remember the exact difference. But the more important point is how “stupid” have American voters become to vote for Brandon in the first place?

I don’t understand either. I had to distance myself from a childhood friend who was absolutely convinced that if Trump was re-elected, he would set up concentration camps in the US.
