An oft used tactic of the left is to distort what Trump says and substitute an unwarranted interpretation. If Trump viewed Putin as genius, he was saying that he was a savvy opponent. Nothing wrong with that.

Even if we assume she is correct and Trump shouldn’t have said it or at least phrased it differently. The truth is, the public attention span is about 5 minutes long, Ukraine and Russia will be forgotten likely by this time next year, let alone in 2024 when Trump runs. So yes, he can “come back from it” assuming you believe anybody cares in the first place.
I never saw any praise for Putin from Trump. Saying a person is smart is not a praise for character. But America is too dumb and brainwashed to see that.
They (Biden regime) have and will continue to apply the same tactics on Trump as they apply to Putin to get rid of someone. They still have about 3 years to take Trump out. The progressives running things are without conscience and their morality is a ruse.
