Unvaccinated Yankees, Mets won’t be allowed to play in home games

PORT ST. LUCIE – If the major league season began today, any Met or Yankee who has not been vaccinated against COVID-19 would be unable to play home games in New York City, The Post has learned.

The regular season does not begin until April 7, and the league office and both New York teams are aware of the New York City vaccine rules that would prohibit their unvaccinated players from being in a workplace. MLB, the Mets and the Yankees all declined comment.

It is a fluid situation and could be resolved prior to the New York-based portion of the season, beginning on April 7 when the Yankees host the Red Sox.

But, at this moment, this is essentially the Kyrie Irving situation the Nets are facing at Barclays Center going outdoors. The New York ordinance does not differentiate between indoor and outdoor work spaces.

The rule currently stipulates that, “Businesses may not allow any unvaccinated workers to work at their workplace. A workplace is considered any location – including a vehicle – where you work in the presence of at least one other person.”

A City Hall spokesperson said “the policy remains in place, we look at the data every single day and listen the advice from public health experts. We cannot speak for what will happen in a month but the private sector mandate is today in place.”

It's worth noting that the Nets -- after suspending Irving indefinitely because they didn't want a guy on the roster who could only play in road games -- had to relent and let him play because they had so many VACCINATED players out with COVID late in 2021.

You can't make this crap up.

They played some in Florida, and some games at their farm team stadium in Buffalo, if I recall correctly.

Not sure what Canada is doing for this season regarding sports and players from USA entering Canada.

So what ya think
You like the Yankees or the Mets this year
And what about this latest war of words
And what about the Commies
I saw the news last night
All illustrated with cartoons
So when they come with that opinion poll
They better not use words like
Ideology
Or try to tell me ‘bout the issues
Ideology
Whose side are you on
We’re talkin’ ‘bout

Right and wrong, do you know the difference
Right and wrong, do you know the difference
‘Tween the right and the left and the east and the west
What you know and the things that you’ll never see

-Joe Jackson

These places that are still clinging to these lies are putting out every red flag: Stay away!

NYC lifted the “vaccine” requirement to enter businesses but not the one where all workers must be “vaccinated”; if we had a real media this would be investigated. It is past time corruptocrats were jailed for this.

Let them all stay in Florida. We would welcome them here as long as they stopped kneeling.

To add to the insanity, in the Kyrie Irving situation, he can’t play in home games, but visiting teams that have unvaccinated players can play them.

So someone playing for the home team can’t play, but someone playing for the visiting team can play if they are unvaccinated.

That is as bizarre as when “Orange Man Bad” rallies were exempted from social distancing and masking guidelines; the silver lining is that it really exposed the #1 reason for this whole farce: Remove Donald Trump through a fraudulent election by instituting emergency election measures.

It worked; to cover their tracks they are timing the withdrawal from these ineffective measures.

When the City of New York issues an illegal diktat to a business and says "your player can't be on the field because he didn't have the Jim Jones Jab but your players can be exposed to those on the visiting team who didn't have the Jim Jones Jab", it's nothing but CRIMINAL interference with a businesses.

The actual situation above makes the entire diktat null and void and the issuers and enforcers guilty of extortion.

As there are so few Americans left in NYC anyway, it shouldn’t be hard to move “America’s past-time” elsewhere - ideally where the Americans fled.

I believe Canada is not letting unvaccinated players across the border this season

Then the Canadian teams can play all away games or drop out.

Is there a problem?

Not upset with the players, but ya gotta come back to reality
as some point.
