ZAPORIZHZHIA, Ukraine — Russian forces are killing civilians and looting stores and homes across occupied parts of southern Ukraine, residents said, as Moscow arrested elected local leaders and sought to replace them with pro-Russian collaborators.
People arriving here from Russian-held areas over the weekend described hungry and undisciplined Russian troops shooting unarmed villagers, breaking into supermarkets and shops, and raiding homes in search of food and valuables as their own supply lines have failed.

I had a friend who went today to help his comrades fight. He has heard from his kinfolks. They say the Russian troops are out of food and are going to homes, taking food, chickens and their eggs, and all edible animals. I didn’t ask him if that includes dogs. They are becoming desperate animals. It is scorched earth.

It’s not an arguement - it’s just a fact.
All are doing it in Ukraine - it’s survival in a warzone. Citiizens as well as troops on all sides.
My friend did not mention Ukrainian troops looting the homes of their fellow citizens. I would think they would do what they could to help the troops. Naive me.
It is a sign that Russian army is falling apart. Troops more occupied with finding the next meal than combat.
I’ve seen the photos of Russia with gallows along a road with women hanging from them. Hundreds. I’ve seen more of what the Wehrmacht and SS did. The Germans supported Hitler and the war in Russia over 90%. They got what they deserved when Ivan came calling.

Do you have a source for that 90%? A lot of Germans — including some military top brass — were against the decision for Barbarossa; but, soldiers that they were, they followed orders. A lot of non-military Germans also were against the invasion of the USSR, but they had been cowed into silence. Silence due to fear and terror does not necessarily equate to support.

That's exactly what Ukrainians are doing, voluntarily helping their military. Here is one example.
Caww seems steeped in Russian talking points, he should know that the citizens in Ukraine support each other and their army instead of the Russians destroying their homes and killing their relatives, children and friends.
