The mayors of New York City and Washington, DC urged their cities’ homeless populations to seek shelter Sunday as a “cold-blooded killer” who had shot at least five vagrants remained on the loose.
A lone gunman is suspected of targeting sleeping homeless men in a series of shootings in DC and the Big Apple this month that has so far left two men dead and three others wounded.
New York Mayor Eric Adams and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser said they were coordinating with federal authorities to investigate the crimes before he strikes again.

They should treat all crime so seriously.
Why is it only when the “homeless” are targeted that they fly into a panic?

Two homeless killed!?! Gee, how horrible.
How many people have died at the hand of a homeless person in NYC recently?
Has Adams told elderly Asians to “seek shelter”?

This “cold blooded killer” isn’t very good at his chosen crime. ONLY five shootings when there are literally tens of thousands of drugged and/or drunk homeless littering the streets in DC and NYC, and only two victims have died? Honestly, what could be easier than fatally shooting a homeless person?

Many shelters have rules against bringing in drugs and anti-social behavior for the protection of the other residents.
In a previous life, I knew a guy who was in charge of such a shelter run by the Lutheran church. He told me that as soon as the weather got warm enough, a goodly share of the residents would leave and walk the seven or so blocks to skid row where they could live in the streets and wouldn't have to follow these rules. This happened every April.
As soon as the weather started getting chilly in October, the same vagrants would suddenly decide the rules could be followed after all and they'd wander back it. They would then proceed to behave themselves for the next six months or so.
Those who couldn't would find a bus to a warmer and/or more derelict friendly city than ours.

Better add funding for police and use the new officers to seize all citizens' firearms. You know that's all this is about.
