To tell the truth, maybe 50% more protection - if they sling any of this stuff with any amount of localized effectiveness, it'll cause as many casualties among their own troops as not. The junk doesn't discriminate, and if their gear is as effective as the rest of their stuff, they'll be running away from it as fast as anyone.

Normally Russia goes in, overthrows the capital, kills the leader and decapitates the government, and absorbs the cou try into the Russian union. Zelensky and the government are still in charge. If civilians are dying, its because of Zelensky, and he is in no position to say no.
