Experts have said they are baffled by the ineptitude of the tactics displayed by Russia's armies after drone footage yesterday showed a column of tanks getting picked off one-by-one in an ambush carried out by Ukraine's forces.
Analysts have said Russian tank commanders allowed the Ukrainians to ambush their unit by driving down the middle of a main road leading into Kyiv - and straight into a death trap. By multiple counts, President Vladimir Putin's forces have lost more tanks than are operational in entire German army.
The devastating artillery strikes came as Putin's troops inched closer to Kyiv, and saw a number of Russian T-72 tanks and other vehicles destroyed or routed in the surprise attack from the front and back of the convoy.
Ukrainian forces surprised the column that included some 30 tanks and support units, as well as a fearsome TOS-1 thermobaric launcher, forcing survivors to flee and left Russia mourning the loss of another senior commander.
Ukraine's masterful ambush in Brovary piled on the misery of Moscow's invading forces, which has suffered more losses than expected and are now facing freezing temperatures in the coming days. Morale is said to be low.
While reports said Russia's 6th tank regiment escaped with relatively minimal casualties, Russian commander Colonel Andrei Zakharov was reportedly killed, and his unit forced into a retreat. The smouldering wrecks of Russian tanks lay on streets after the fighting.

I understand Sean Penn is working with Zelenskyy on military strategy.
[If there was similar video from the Russian battle perspective, I'd post that too, but I can't find any.]
It seems like armor is a death trap in 2022.
Did Russia walk into a major paradigm shift trap?
Like late-19th-Century African natives charging Maxim guns? It sure doesn't help that March is Mud Season in Ukraine, and much of the armor that moves off the paved roads gets stuck, and is then abandoned.
This reply was sent to me on Gettr, Corpsman has a point.
That’s a valid point. Modern AA works for both sides.
Here is the “Ukraine Weapons Tracker” twitter account I mentioned above.

The “Highway of Death” scenario pretty much requires air supremacy, which the Ukes definitely don’t have.
Note that the town of Brovary is 7 miles from the center of Kiev.
Couldn’t that be more of a statement about how few tanks the Germans have in their army?
I also read that Russia aircrafts are using mostly FAB-500 missiles, which are very old in design and are non-precision.
Which requires their aircraft to fly low altitude to ensure any kind of accuracy and allowing them to be hit from the ground.
Basically at this point it seems Russia’s lack of a strong economy means their arsenal of weaponry is very limited. The can’t afford to properly maintain them and whatever advanced and modern stuff they have, they have them in very limited quantities.
Neither do the Russians who are only doing a fraction of the daily flights they did in Syria since their planes keep getting shot down.
If compared to the US, Russia’s tactics and logistical support is inept. Of course the neocons have given the US ample opportunity to practice and practice makes perfect. (sarcasm?)

The Russians have left operable mobile SAM systems and walked away.
Some 6 at last count.
The Ukrainians are using them against the Russian air systems.
Here is Putin meeting with his generals.

Maybe he is dying and decided to find the final solution to "the Ukrainian Question" before that?
The Javelin is a fearsome weapon and significant combat multiplier for dismounted infantry. That said, it looks like it's been primarily used against T-72s which have been obsolete since at least 1991.
It would be telling to see how the Javelin performs against the T-14 Armata and it's Afghanit Active Protection System.
Here is a good summary from FindLaw:
Understanding Florida's 'Don't Say Gay' Billsnip...
The Florida Bill
That bill, titled Parental Rights in Education, states that lessons about sexual orientation are banned outright in kindergarten through third grade. It also prohibits lessons in other grades unless they are "age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate."
The measure, which would give parents the right to sue school districts, awaits Gov. Ron DeSantis' signature. It is scheduled to go into effect on July 1.
The bill's supporters say it strengthens parental rights by preventing teachers and school staffers from withholding information about gender issues from parents. (An earlier version of the bill went even further, requiring principals to tell parents if a student came out as other than straight. That provision was pulled last month.)
Opposition to the bill has been fierce. Democrats and LGBTQIA supporters, who have derisively dubbed it the "Don't Say Gay" bill, say the law would stigmatize marginalized students and lead to bullying and attacks.
Conversely, the 40 mile convoy hasn’t been able to reach Kiev either, I give you the reports of Russian loses are probably very inaccurate, but something is going on.
I know some people are saying Putin is going slow and deliberate but I think most people thought the Russian Army would roll over Ukraine and have this wrapped up by now.
I’m no military expert, but when I saw the Russian Tank column getting shelled, I wondered why were they all bunched up, why didn’t they spread out and go around a small town if their object is the capital.
And if Germany has so few tanks in its army then NATO is not really a threat to Russia is it?
