LONDON — Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the green light on Friday to bring in thousands of fighters from the Middle East to fight against Ukraine. At a meeting of Russia’s Security Council, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said there were 16,000 volunteers in the Middle East who were ready to come to fight with Russian-backed forces in the breakaway Donbass region of eastern Ukraine.

Have you noticed, in recent history, Arab/Muslim Middle East hardly won any wars via orderly armies (5 Arab armies lost in 1948, than the Arab armies in 1967, YomKippur, and on... even the long Iran Iraq War was just a loss in vain for both sides of 1 Million) , but only gain in guerilla damage...terror tactics (Muslim/Palestinian/Syrian anti-Christian Lebanon 1970s and ISIS in Iraq 11 years ago)

The job is not without risk but, at almost $60,000 a month, the pay is good. Applicants must have at least five years of military experience in eastern Europe, be skilled in reconaissance, be able to conduct rescue operations with “little to no support” and know their way around Soviet-era weaponry.

If Russia needs volunteers from the Middle East (or anywhere else) then it PROVES that Russia is losing the war in Ukraine.
This actually makes the feared Russian army look even worse.
They now need help from a ragtag set of rag heads. Meanwhile Ukraine gets help from the Knights Templar.

The motivation of that side you refer to is not jihadi.
Events years past which might be complex is not a reason for holding Putin as a hero.
If one can be neutral without praising Putin.
