Democrats' chances in the 2022 midterm elections are better than doomsayers predict
MSNBC ^ | 03/08/2022 | Dean Obeidallah

Posted on 03/09/2022 1:21:34 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Anyone else sick and tired of hearing so-called political experts predict that Democrats are going to lose badly in this year's midterms? Apparently it doesn’t matter that in President Joe Biden’s first year, 6.6 million new jobs were reported, the strongest first year of job gains of any president since our government began collecting such data in 1939. Nor does it appear to matter that unemployment is down from 6.7 percent in former President Donald Trump’s last full month in office to 3.8 percent and that wages are up 5 percent over the past year.

I would agree. Never underestimate the ability of Republicans to screw things up and to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

When you cheat, all that matters is how hard you cheat. I agree, the Dem’s chances are better than most here would imagine.

They can keep telling themselves that... polls lie... but in favor of Democrats, so the D’s are probably in for an even bigger beating than projected by the polls.

The dems have perfected cheating so well they don’t even have to hide the fact they are cheating. No one does a damned thing about it when they are discovered.

“Never underestimate the ability of Republicans to screw things up and to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.”

I would submit that the self sabotage by Republicans is intentional.

Just means that they’ll have to ramp up their fraud machine and make more of it dependent on tech manipulation, since a lot of the people who’d otherwise manufacture votes for them might not be happy about the gas prices and overall inflation.

Read up on the 1998 midterms. That one was supposed to be a blowout for the Republicans. And... it wasn’t.

If the machines and the people vote for the this, they deserve the march to the camps after a short train ride.

The Pravda of the West.

Pravda is more credible. As a Russian coworker of mine from a former life phrased, "Even Pravda would criticize the Politburo once in awhile."

There is a long time between now and November 8th. No time for republicans to relax. Stay tuned.
