Will a mass transition to electric vehicles (EVs) cause the electric power grid to collapse? Some argue that EVs will make the grid unstable, which could mean hefty investments to upgrade existing infrastructures in order to withstand the electricity uptake

That’s right. Electricity will go sky high too. This is just more lies. Broken promises and lies is all they serve up.
Who are you going to believe, me or your lying common sense?
I never doubted it for a second, and I appreciate the scrutiny that comes in the comments about it, stay vigilant.
The article is full of global warming.
No it doesn’t. Not to mention the same article points at well just use your battery to power your house. Yeah, and empty my car so I can’t evacuate. If anything, I still feel more in favor to get a hybrid or a natural gas car.
Not just EV’s. . .Greenies want the government to force every homeowner to “retool” their homes to become totally “energy efficient.” The goal is not to “reduce CO2 emissions” or to “reduce our dependence of fossil fuels.” The elites don’t even believe their own claptrap about global warming just as they didn’t believe their lies about COVID. The goal? It’s to make private property ownership “unsustainable” and to drive “the masses” into urban centers, public housing and mass transportation. Much easier that way for despots to “govern” the masses.
From of all places, the compost...
Any article like this that cites a study by McKinsey & Company can be dismissed out of hand.
McKinsey does not do objective analyses of anything. It's a propagandist company that gets hired to push the agendas of its clients.
"You can keep your doctor."
"Social Security will never be used for anything other than giving benefits to people who paid into the fund."
"We're not trying to confiscate guns owned by sportsmen and hunters."
If the pimps and whores in government say a thing, you can be sure it's a lie.
Thank You for reminding me of that fact. growing old and tend to forget
I’m against Electric cars for three reasons.
1) Remote deactivation/sole ownership
2) Winter conditions are terrible to batteries and present safety issues if stuck somewhere.
3) Charge times are atrocious and there are not enough chargers for long distance travel, charge stations must accept cash.
I have seen this movie before....
“Electric cars won’t overload the grid.”
Electric cars may put some strain on the grid but it will be manageable.”
“Here is why widespread grid failures aren’t necessarily a bad thing.”
“Russia and the Republicans have destroyed our grid.”
Logistics say is impossible for decades. Wind and solar contribute hardly a drop in the energy bucket
Speaking of hybrids, from this link...
https://phev.ucdavis.edu/about/faq-phev/
“How long does it take to recharge a plug-in vehicle?
It depends on how big the battery is, and whether you charge using a regular 120V outlet a 240V charging station, or a fast charger. Plug-in hybrids with smaller batteries can recharge in about 3 hours at 120V and 1.5 hrs at 240V. Electric vehicles with larger batteries can take up to 20+ hours at 120V and 4-8 hours using a 240V charger. Electric vehicles that are equipped for fast-charging can receive an 80% charge in about 20 minutes.”
Not happening.
What do I do in an emergency situation and the battery is flat and I can’t just jump in, crank up and go?
More lying economic retardation from the libtards... from the same “brilliance” that insists restricting the ability to increase the supply of oil (eliminating Keystone, fracking, exploration on federal leases, etc.) has no impact on price, more perverted “logic” that an increase in the demand for electricity (EV charging, etc.) will not impact the price, given that those same libtards refuse to allow additional power plants (supply). If there was only some way to rid this country of the Demonic Party and its minions...

No, it isnt
Small nuclear generators are a great solution to the problem of electricity generation.
Americans are gullible and have been force fed anti nuc propaganda for so long that they believe it to be gospel. It isn’t
It appears the article was written by a Facebook fact checker. In other words, who are you going to believe? The author or what you clearly see?
