The authorities of the Republic of Poland, after consultations between the President and the Goverment, are ready to deploy – immediately and free of charge – all their MIG-29 jets to the Ramstein Air Base and place them at the disposal of the Government of the United States of America.
At the same time, Poland requests the United States to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities. Poland is ready to immediately establish the conditions of purchase of the planes.
The Polish Government also requests other NATO Allies – owners of MIG-29 jets – to act in the same vein.
“I wonder if we are watching the beginning of WWIII.”
Putin can end this any time he wants to.
Exactly.
I'm just sayin'.
The Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945)
If NATO nations don't just STFU, they are going push Putin's hand and WWIII here we come. Remember, the Ukraine is NOT a member of NATO. We owe no allegiance to that country.
According to wiki, Poland has 23 Mig-29’s.
They have to get to Ukraine first. We have forces in the area that might give any Syrian playing merch something to do.
Again, you are playing chicken with a man who is talking about using nukes. Is it worth it?
” I hope they got more than an empty promise from Biden.”
All democrat promises are empty.
“is NATO trying to get Poland to do its dirty work?”
Well, Poland is part of NATO so that doesn’t make much sense. From what this article says, it sounds more like Poland is trying to get the United States to do the dirty work, since it is handing the planes over to the U.S. rather than giving them to the Ukrainians directly.
According to wiki, Poland has 23 Mig-29’s.
Poland got empty promises from Britain and France in 1939, so they should be used to it by now.
insanely stupid if true to poke a bear with a sharp object.
So who do we think will fly them from Ramstein to Ukraine?
Could Kamala find the big country?
Of course we can. We do it all the time. I Agee it’s Europe’s war.
On this occasion, a Japanese soldier was temporarily absent from his unit opposite Wanping, and the Japanese commander demanded the right to search the town for him. When this was refused, other units on both sides were put on alert, and with tension rising the Chinese Army fired on the Japanese Army which further escalated the situation, even though the missing Japanese soldier had returned to his lines.
This is classic blaming the victim.
“Not against us. Russia did it believing they were protecting their homeland.”
B.S. Ukraine had made no threats against Russia, while on the other hand Putin took Crimea from Ukraine and then set up a proxy war in two areas of eastern Ukraine. Putin was not “protecting Russia”, he wants to re-establish the Empire the Soviets put together.
I would agree especially with that sitting duck convoy. However, it's too late to train the pilots IMO. Takes a lot of time and money. The UKES are in the mix today.
“This gives the Poles a chance to stay out of nuclear exchange between Russia and US.”
Wouldn’t make one damned bit of difference.
But Twitter and Reddit said this was a great idea.
