“is NATO trying to get Poland to do its dirty work?”

Well, Poland is part of NATO so that doesn’t make much sense. From what this article says, it sounds more like Poland is trying to get the United States to do the dirty work, since it is handing the planes over to the U.S. rather than giving them to the Ukrainians directly.

I realize that. My though was that would make Poland the trip wire and put them at the head of the line for any retaliatory strikes and or cyber attacks.
