Pressure is growing on Western food and drink giants to pull out of Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine.
McDonald's and Coca-Cola have been criticised on social media for failing to speak out about the attacks and continuing to operate in the country.
Well-known firms including Netflix and Levi's have already suspended sales or stopped providing services in Russia.
McDonald's and Coca-Cola have not responded to the BBC's request for comment.
#BoycottMcDonalds and #BoycottCocaCola were trending on Twitter on Monday and over the weekend respectively.

The criticism comes amid calls for other well-known Western firms such as KFC, Pepsi and Starbucks and Burger King to close their outlets and stop sales in Russia.
However, most firms have stayed silent on the issue with KFC, Pepsi, Starbucks and Burger King also declining to respond to the BBC's requests for comment.

Do the Russians have their own equivalent of our GPS system, or do the their people rely on Google maps and other systems leaching off ours.
It would be great if we could selectively turn off the clocks when they reach their orbit above Moscow and then turn back on when they leave their area.

Also, Russian franchisees might still make and sell the stuff without paying royalties. Corporate America is not going to let their rubles get away from bottom lines.

Meanwhile, Xiden's regime continues to finance Putin's regime by buying oil and preventing pipelines and development of known proven reserves. As big as MCD and KO are, I seriously doubt that whatever they put into the Russian economy in one year equals what oil and gas sales (at vastly inflated prices) are doing for it in a single hour.

I find it odd that people would applaud these multi-national corporations putting the screws to any nation. It seems to be creating a power that is not restrained locally/regionally, but is ubiquitous in its ability to destroy.
But if these multi-nationals do decide to pull out all the stops, then it would make the situation all the more clear for any country that wants to retain its sovereignty...cull the power of multi-nationals now...before they get too power. Addtionally, sieze any infrastructure that they have within your nation (without compensation) and use it to construct an alternative to their product as soon as possible.
I’m already boycotting McDonald’s and Coca Cola because of their anti American political support, and because their products are unhealthy.
Removing Western fast food chains from the Russian food chain is the most healthy act ever.
Coca-Cola kept their factory going in Nazi Germany until 1941 when the U.S. went to war with Japan. The CEO of Coke at the time was Max Keith (pronounced Kite). When production stopped in 1941, and supplies dwindled, he gave his last batches of Coke to Nazi soldiers. The German Coke factory first marketed their Fanta soda in Nazi Germany. It was developed because they could no longer import Cola syrup from the U.S. based Coke factory, so they came up with a new flavor. Coke sponsored the 1936 Olympics in Nazi Germany. They advertised in Nazi newspapers, and in Nazi magazines. According to Mark Prendergrast’s book “For God, Country and Coca Cola”, if Hitler, Goering or some other Nazi big-wig’s face was on the front cover of the magazine, Coke’s advertisements would be on the back. They also advertised on billboards in the stadiums that held Nazi rallies. Since there was an extreme shortage of laborers in Germany because of the war, it is almost certain that Coke, like most other German manufacturers, used slave labor.

“Big Cola” should be banned for actually putting CO2 (a known global warming gas!) into their sodas.
At the very least they need to be using sustainably sourced fair trade vegan carbon dioxide.
