Ukraine’s Zelensky Blasts ‘Weak’ NATO for Refusing to Start Air War with Russia

President Volodymyr Zelensky has slammed NATO as “weak” for refusing to enforce a no-fly zone in Ukraine, saying it will bear responsibility for future Ukrainian deaths.

Speaking at a public press conference, the Ukrainian president branded a recent NATO summit on the war in Ukraine “weak” and “confused” and evidence that “not everyone considers the struggle for freedom to be Europe’s number one goal.”

“Knowing that new strikes and casualties are inevitable, NATO deliberately decided NOT to close the sky over Ukraine,” he railed.

“We believe that NATO countries themselves have created a narrative that the closure of the sky over Ukraine would provoke Russia’s direct aggression against NATO. This is self-hypnosis. Of those who are weak, underconfident,” he claimed — although it is difficult to imagine how NATO could “close the sky over Ukraine” without directly confronting and destroying Russian warplanes, and likely Russian ground forces tasked with engaging hostile aircraft as well.

“All the people who will die starting from this day will also die because of you. Because of your weakness. Because of your disunity,” Zelensky accused.

By “NATO” enforcing a no fly zone and starting a war, that mostly means the US. The other members would contibute little to nothing, as usual.

They’ve had 30 years to prepare for this; instead they sold many of their conventional weapons decades ago to raise foreign cash reserves.

"Damnit all, why can't you people waste your good men and women and money defending my corrupt regime. I mean, c'mon. Soros, Clintons, Obama, and the WEF all endorse me!"

STAND WITH UKRAINE!

Not.

Lets all say it, the Germans are the problem. They went all peaceful after reunification and have not gotten off the couch since. The French, the British and the Polish are down for a bit of an airwar.

Well he’s not wrong. The West assumes they can’t stop the Russians in Ukraine without a world war. That’s unlikely. The one thing Russia fears is NATO intervention.

Many on here don’t want to help Ukraine, but the fact is most of the world is “outraged” by Russia’s attack, but sitting around watching and moaning while it happens.

The worst is Biden constantly declaring what we won’t do, which guaranteed the Russian attack.

Not a good precedent for the future.

This war in Ukraine is like watching two school yard bully’s fighting. Interesting but no reason to get involved.

I understand why he’s desperate for foreigners to jump in on his country’s side. That does not however make it those other countries’ war.

Here's the mentality you're dealing with. This little idiot thinks we're going to sail the 6th. Fleet into the Mediterranean or Adriatic and start mixing it up with Russian MiGs. Yeah. Won't that be a great day in the neighborhood.

Your post is on point. Not a fan of Putin but I am a fan of staying the heck out of a regional conflict between 2 countries.
If one foot steps on US soil we’ll then it’s game on.

Exactly. It’s what I’ve been saying here. These are two thug regimes. Let them fight it out.

NATO may not choose to act, but what is stopping Michelle Obama from launching a few #hashtags?

most of the world is “outraged” by Russia’s attack...

Just as with COVID after 2 years, 'most of the world' will come around and realize they are being played by the media, zelensky, bidEn, deep state, hrc, kerry, and on and on.

IMHO, don't think it will take 2 years this time.

Right now it's a squabble between thug poots and corrupt zelensky. The losers so far are the Ukrainian people, and to a great extent, the russian people. But neither Ukraine nor russia are NATO members.

If NATO joins the fight then it means NATO has declared war on russia.

If you think that's worth turning 600 million people across the northern hemisphere into radioactive ash, well then knock yourselves out. I've lived a good, full life at the half century mark.

But I have to wonder if all these virtue signaling soccer moms have given it any thought as to what happens to little Kaden and Juniper when a nuke vaporizes the city 10 miles from their suburb and another, the airport that is only 5 miles away.

This is what you’d expect from a circus clown as president.

I’m still half expecting to read media reports that he actually fled to Miami weeks ago, and is issuing these public statements from a penthouse in South Beach.

“The one thing Russia fears is NATO intervention.”

I do not think that this the case. Without the US NATO is a paper tiger. The one thing that Russia fears is cheap energy prices resulting mostly from US energy exploration (e.g., fracking, ANWR).

You mean the russians. The russians sold what they would need to win a real war, not this tiny prelude.

NATO let their fighting forces decay due to neglect. 300,000 Germans and 200,000 French should be ready to march, being worked by constant exercies.... French might be able to put out 30,000 troops and germans might be able to get 15,000. Polish might have 45,000 ready to go.

That 90,000 EU not british, canadian, US group should walk all over 200,000 russian conscripts and 20,000 professional soilders. UK and US troops are the crediable threat while on the Polish boarder against Belarus. The supply line is rail and and a modern highway system all the way to combat zone. It is commercial delivery to get everything in place in time for summer killing season.

It is not world war III by parking all these forces within 100 km of the ukraine, poland, balkin boarder and digging out the armillary of the cold war. All while putting aircraft back on 1983 duties and keeping russian war planners and day to day opeartions busy. The turks and the kurds need to get over it and look to the north as the threat.

The Turks and Kurds have the most to gain if they can play the game and just move like they care about this conflict. Truely with everything to the west lining up, India and China will get spicy by doing nothing to Russia.

Putin thinks the whole world is against him, at least line up in a conventional manner so he has doubts. He has nuclear exchange doubts or he would have come much harder at Ukraine. Putin is counting on the politics of the EU to let this one slide, odds are...it will.

The crime is the international community ignoring 2014-today.

He’s watching Russia slaughter civilians, he’s seeing cities flattened, he’s watching Russia ignore corridors for civilians to get out of cities. What exactly do you think he should be grateful for? We promised arms, they still aren’t there yet, some have arrived but not enough.

I’m sick of hearing about corrupt Ukraine because...Soros.....Biden.....Deep State. Well let me remind you Soros, Biden and Deep State live HERE, so what does that make us? Would it be IK to have our cities leveled and our farmlands destroyed because of their corruption.

Good grief, separate the people and the government.
