Hey kids, don’t be a maskhole!
With the end of school mask mandates around the corner, the city’s elite private schools are warning students not to question or tease classmates over their face covering choices.
Private schools introduced an optional mask policy for staffers and students Wednesday after Gov. Kathy Hochul officially scrapped the requirement.
“Everything is so polarized and political these days,” said a parent at Manhattan’s Spence School. “There is more to this than just wearing or not wearing a mask. It’s seen as a reflection of the student and the parents’ views overall.”
Some administrators are getting in front of the issue and asking parents to talk to their kids about respecting their classmates’ mask choices.
“An important note: the School will not tolerate any comments regarding someone’s personal decision either to wear or not wear a mask,” said David Lourie, the head of Manhattan’s Collegiate School, in a note to parents. “Please speak to your son in advance about respecting the choices of others, as no one knows another’s personal circumstances.”

Mayor Eric Adams is expected to make masking optional in city schools beginning next week.
Many Department of Education teachers have already pledged to keep masking despite the expected change in policy.

School child getting rid of protective mask after school. After Gov. Kathy Hochul officially ended the mask requirement in schools, private institutions adopted an optional mask policy.
Tased?
We wouldn’t want to hurt the pwecious little fweelings of the maskerbators, would we?
Some kids suck their thumbs.
Some kids have security blankets.
Some kids wear maskifiers.
Should other kids make of these kids for their emotional crutches? Not sure.

Why didn’t I cobble that up 22 months ago?
All of a sudden, now they care about what the kids want. Ok, sure. And out of all the kids, it’s the little Karens they care about. That’s really their hill of choice??
Why aren’t they worried about being teased about being gay or transgender?
Irs very instructive to observe what worries schools these dats.
And also what doesn’t make it to their “worry” radar.
Why aren’t they worried about being teased about being straight and/or virginal?
You mean like people who chose not to wear masks were publicly accosted, ostracized, chased down in stores, and attacked by unhinged lefties?
We’re raising a generation of panzies. Today, I was driving by the Jr. High, and I swear that about 70% of the kids walking out of the school and along the sidewalk were wearing masks. I couldn’t believe it! These poor kids are so brainwashed.
Many people insecure about their looks liked wearing masks. It will be traumatizing for many to go unmasked in public.
“Many people insecure about their looks liked wearing masks.”
If they really are that ugly they owe it to us to keep wearing the mask.
oh now they are worried about maskers being teased, what about kids that didn’t want them, they were freakin expelled, made to sit outside, all kinds of stuff. I’m not in favor of teasing regardless but for them to ask that is pretty ballsy after what the vaxxers and maskers did and joe biden, screw them all
These little wimps wearing masks are the children of manly women, and feminine men. They are doomed any way you cut it.
I think it will all work out. I’ve noticed people tend to follow what the majority is doing. Masks, no masks—people go with the flow after checking out the situation.
Good they should be bullied harshly every day until the mask comes off!
The mask holes have been conditioned. They’ve succumbed to the state. Just point them to the showers, and they will follow.
Yup, girls wearing jock straps and boys in bras.
Children are going to tease. It’s tradition. That’s part of the fun.
It’s a feature, not a bug.
