The Pentagon announced Wednesday it will delay its nuclear missile test scheduled for this weekend in the midst of Russian President Vladimir Putin's attack on Ukraine so he does not 'misunderstand' the move.
Kirby said the U.S. did not put its nuclear forces on heightened alert in response to Putin's move.

That’s why theconvoy is stuck. The Ukrainian army has to fire on the lead vehicles as they approach Kiev. The air force or equivalent needs to do an A-10 cleanup for the other 50 miles of high value targets.
Nuclear triad still make sense.
It’s not being bombed because the Ukrainians don’t have air to ground attack capacity, and NATO doesn’t want to have air to air confrontations with Russian fighters, which would mean going to war with Russia. No sane person wants that kind of escalation.
Ukraine has Mig 29s but they are not useful for air to ground attack. They need some Sukhoi fighters for that, but as yet don’t have any. They might get some from Bulgaria, however.
Except for the people in Kiev about to be blown to bits.
They could do it in a Cesna 152 for God’s sake.
