A Russian military convoy that was outside of Ivankiv, Ukraine, on Sunday has since made it to the outskirts of Kyiv, satellite images show.
On Sunday, the convoy was roughly 40 miles northwest of the Ukrainian capital, according to images provided by Maxar Technologies.
Maxar said that roughly 17 miles of roadway is chocked full of the convoy, which consists of armored vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and other logistical vehicles.
The private US company said the convoy was located on the T-1011 highway at Antonov air base around 11:11 a.m local time.
Antonov is roughly 17 miles from the center of the Ukrainian capital.

Wow, I had to go back and read as this was from February I believe haha.
Anyway, column in the open, without air superiority, is a giant mistake. And yes, theoretically you do exactly as you stated. Really the only way you can have tank columns in the open is with air supremacy, it is even risky if you only have superiority.
Russia certainly made big mistakes like this one early in the war. They seem to have learned from that (they should’ve known in the first place, but I digress). Now lines seem to have solidified and we are looking at artillery duels all up and down the line. Honestly with the roughly 200k that Russia brought to Ukraine, they must be at the extent of what they can take and hold.

"...And information put out by Kyiv and uncovered by various pro-Ukraine sources disputes key parts of Russia’s narrative.A spokesman for the Azov battalion told Ukrainian media that Natalia had never served with them - because there are no women soldiers in their ranks.
The source added that the ID card shown off by the FSB is actually for the National Guard, and would not be carried by an Azov soldier.
He said pencil marks on the ID show it was invalidated because the woman had married and changed her last name.
The soldier speculated that the invalid ID had been placed in archives of Ukraine’s national guard in Mariupol - a building Russia now occupies - and had been uncovered by their troops and manipulated for propaganda purposes.
Internet sleuths also claimed to have uncovered evidence that the picture on the ID had been manipulated..."
Why would the FSB take a manipulate a ID, put out a convienent cover story, unless they were involved? Or is this sort of corruption Standard Operating Procedure for the FSB?

“The March shelling of Russian landing ships in Berdyansk revealed the Polish vile dirty trick of 2019.
“Caesar Kunikov” and “Novocherkassk” suffered after the March shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the port of Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region. They were sent to repair - did not work. It's because of the defective injectors. And now it won't work to buy new ones - Poland has imposed sanctions. There are 12 more ships of this type in the Russian fleet, and defective Eastern European parts may also be in them.”
