Furious Putin prepares to use 'father of all bombs' as brave Ukrainians hold up advance: West warns Russia could use terror weapon that vaporizes bodies alongside a massive Amphibious assault as invaders run into fierce resistance in Kyiv

Russia could use savage superweapons that vaporize bodies and crush internal organs if their assault of Ukraine becomes bogged down, Western officials warned tonight.

They fear Vladimir Putin could resort to high-power thermobaric weapons - dubbed the 'father of all bombs' - as brave Ukrainians resist his attempts to take control of Kyiv.

There are also concerns that units that are running behind schedule as they encounter stiff opposition could resort to indiscriminate shelling as a terror weapon.

Thermobaric weapons - also known as vacuum bombs - are high-powered explosive that use the atmosphere itself as part of the explosion. They are among the most powerful non-nuclear weapons ever developed.

A thermobaric bomb dropped by the US on Taliban in Afghanistan in 2017 weighed 21,600 pounds and left a crater more than 300 meters (1,000 feet) wide after it exploded six feet above the ground.

Thermobaric weapons were developed by both the U.S. and the Soviet Union in the 1960s. In September 2007, Russia detonated the largest thermobaric weapon ever made, which created an explosion equivalent to 39.9 tons.

The U.S. version of the weapon reportedly costs over $16 million each.

'My fear would be that if they don't meet their timescale and objectives they would be indiscriminate in their use of violence,' the official said. 'They don’t adhere to the same principles of necessity and proportionality and rule of law that Western forces do.'

Wow, Amazing how some guy in the U.K knows Putins current state of mind. The propaganda is heavy. Those in the know see it clearly. My sources are actually telling me that Putin is more Sad than furious.

Re Putin replacement, you said:

“Having lived and worked in Russia for three years, I can tell you ( warn you) that you should be careful what you wish for- you should brush up and find out who Vlad’s replacement could be.”

Any ideas who the potential replacements are and what they are like?

Anyone notice Putin’s ‘moon’ face? A sure sign of steroid use. I suspect he has medical issues.

yet people here are lapping up reports from the same media that was days or weeks ago demonizing the unvaccinated and pushing covid hysteria. Some degree of skepticism is warranted.

Thr U.S had been in many wars. Are you suggesting that in all of them the other side never considered their fight a fight for freedom? I already know your answer but maybe you should ask yourself what that’s your answer. Before a war the media always paints the picture (it’s not like we know any of these people after all). Have you ever disagreed with the picture they painted?

I think Russia is ripe for (another) civil war and/or a coup D’etat.

Im starting to think the media is trying to make this into something short of WW3, so when the conflict is over, Brandon will look like some kind of geopolitical genius.

Remember, Brandon said he was the only one to go toe to toe with Putin.

Are you likening the Ukrainians to the Taliban or Saddam Hussein?

I think he's saying that bravery has nothing to do with ideology or morality.

If you fight hard in face of tough odds, you are brave. That's what the word means.

As I have posted numerous threads today I am still amazed at the number of freepers of freepers who seem to have no problem believing everything they hear in the media and government but who for the last 2 years have said that the government and media are lying but immediately online so how do they suddenly believe everything they hear and then on top of that if you don’t agree with them and what they say suddenly you’re a Communist sympathizer I mean really

The topic isn’t about who is brave it was about newspaper describing combatants as brave.

I responded to a question, rhetorical I assume, asking if newspapers ever called the Taliban brave. Not were the Taliban brave?

While I am not a fan of Vladimir Putin, the ex-KGB agent and de facto dictator of Russia, the fact that Schwartz György is so pro-Ukraine (one of the most corrupt countries on the Earth, just ask XiJinBiden's spawn) and anti-Putin and anti-Russian, THAT is ALMOST reason enough, to support Putin! The fact that True-dolt supports Ukraine, is yet another reason not to support Ukraine. AFAIK, his decisions are usually 100% WRONG!

All that said, THIS IS A REGIONAL MATTER. WE SHOULD NOT BE INVOLVED! PERIOD!
