RISTINA (Reuters) - Hungary will not send troops or weapons to Ukraine and will not allow lethal weapons to transit its territory in order to keep the country safe, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday during a visit to Kosovo.
"The reason for making this decision is that such deliveries might become targets of hostile military action and ... we have to ensure the security of Hungary ... that we are not getting involved in that war," Szijjarto said after meeting Kosovo Foreign Minister Donika Gervalla.

that is sensible.
I like Hungary. They are being smart.
Cannot blame them. After all, who’d trust a collection of dorky Biden butt-kissers, milquetoast generals, and inept media here to support them?
Can’t blame them. Not with Biden hiding under his bed in his bunker in Delaware.
Why would Hungary stick their necks out?
Been to Hungary 2xs back in the 80s when they were still under Soviet rule. They don’t want to return to those days!
Their country, their rules.
Orban, unlike many people here, has made the connection between events in Ukraine, and world-wide, woke-globalist, attempts to dominate everything.
He’s an anti-marxist.
“we have to ensure the security of Hungary”
That’s not how it works with the Russians. Russia and NATO guaranteed the safety of Ukraine when they gave up their nukes.
“Hungary is a member of NATO”
Yes, but Ukraine is not. They are only required to have each other’s backs.
When the Soviets invaded Hungary in 1956, there were undoubtedly Ukrainians among the Soviet troops...not that the Ukrainians had any say in the matter, and I doubt that the present government of Hungary is holding 1956 against Ukraine.
Amen!
Very reasoned response from Hungary.
Meanwhile - Germany ups the ante and immediately increases their military budget for their own rearmament.
Now watch the globalists freak out.
+1000
That is an excellent point and undoubtedly true.
I don’t think NATO, as an organization, was involved in that agreement. It was Russia, Britain and the United States, followed by France and China.
Love that gif, whatever it is!
Awww, why not jump into the fray? What could possibly go wrong if a bunch of pissant Euro countries decide to join in and mix it up? Okay, sure, maybe a couple of World Wars in the last century alone - but who’s counting?
