U.S. Embassy Tells Americans in Russia to Leave Immediately

The United States Embassy has told Americans in Russia to leave the country immediately while outbound flights remain available.

In a security alert on its website Sunday, the U.S. Embassy in Russia warned Americans to flee the country due to the continued cancelation of commercial flights.

“An increasing number of airlines are canceling flights into and out of Russia, and numerous countries have closed their airspace to Russian airlines,” the alert said. “U.S. citizens should consider departing Russia immediately via commercial options still available.”

The U.S. Embassy further reminded Americans in the country that the Department of State’s Travel Advisory has set Russia at “Level 4: Do Not Travel.”

“Do not travel to Russia due to ongoing tension along the border with Ukraine, the potential for harassment against U.S. citizens, the embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in Russia, COVID-19 and related entry restrictions, terrorism, harassment by Russian government security officials, and the arbitrary enforcement of local law,” the travel advisory states.

I think that after the Kabul Disaster that the Biden Admin is going to be less risk tolerant on rescuing American citizens from difficult situations overseas.

To be honest, I think that’s a cop out. You’re better than that. People on here look up to you.
Generic pablum.
I’m a veteran who loves his country. Every male before 1900 served.
That says nothing of the current situation.
I believe in bringing manufacturing home, and f*** H1-Bs.
This war isn’t ours. Why do we take a side?
How about no side, and lock our borders?
How about no more 3rd world immigration?
We are same side, but this distraction is fracturing Republicans.
Do you at least think, maybe, it’s a distraction from what matters?
I like your heart, but now is the time for minds.
Do you at least understand where I am coming from?
We shouldn’t fight, but come together over our first enemy. Our triage of importance.

The book “Diplomats and Demagogues: the Memoirs of Spruille Braden” included the text of a speech delivered by the author in 1965 in which the phrase was attributed to Joseph Stalin:

Aiding this huge conspiracy have been countless innocent although well-intentioned sentimentalists or idealists. Stalin baptized these groups as “useful idiots”

Pretty sure I’m in the most insignificant part of the US, Armageddon-wise. Should the worst transpire, I’m pretty sure there’d be a future. But it wouldn’t be pretty.

There’s going to be a 7 year period where everything is gonna be really, really bad. After that it kinda depends on one particular relationship.

I’m not saying there are any actual ‘good guys’ in this fustercluck.
But what I am damned sure of is that all of conservative America’s enemies are beating waaaay too many drums waaaay too loudly and they’re ALL playing the same tune.

Color me very suspicious . . .

While I think Putin is a terrible human, he is at least a nationalistic ruler.
Globalists need Russia and China to invoke their globalists plans.
Who fights for freedom after Russia and China fall.
Do you think our governments don’t hate us?
Do you think freedom wins if China and Russia are broken?
The smallest minority is the individual.
They want to crush us.
Why do Soros and Schwab want Ukraine to win, because freedom?
Myopic.

Nothing Putin has done the past 2 weeks has changed my opinion about him.

I used to think he should burn in hell for the rest of eternity and that for the rest of his life the decision on his fate should be decided by a War Crimes tribunal. So somebody please get him and his cronies into custody right now and taken to The Hague.

I still think this way, except that now I think he ought to get a furlough into some isolation paradise for a few hours each week where he can look through the window (but no touching) at some beautiful Ukrainian women to see what he’s missing & then go back to hell until the next week.

There may be some on FreeRepublic who support Putin. But such people are evil and/or ignorant.

Yes Ukraine is a terribly corrupt kleptocracy. But I agree that Putin was wrong and a mass murderer to invade. He should’ve tried to solve these problems through diplomacy. What he’s done is evil evil evil.

The only reason I can imagine any leniency on Putin is if there is some big picture reason why it’ll greatly reduce human suffering to allow some leniency. My focus is #1 on what’s best for the blessings of liberty and prosperity for all of us and our posterity.

If you submit to “nationalism” (a sorry creature of the 19th century), then the individual is crushed.

So what do you think our future holds?
I predict no individualism and no freedom.
State evidence otherwise.

I don’t believe that China is some kind of force for nationalism or freedom in any way.

If anything, China is the engine behind this globalist movement. It is a fantasy to imagine crushing them, though the reverse may be true.

China ran the bio weapons lab for the Globalists. Nothing says that the release wasn’t entirely their own idea, though. Trump was undoing their plans. Kind of stupid to trust them with the lab, in hindsight. But then, these are the same bozos that used terrorists when it served their cause, too.

But rolling in with tanks and killing civilians makes you the bad guy.

The only tank rolling and civilian killing I'm hearing about these days are thru the likes of the MSM, including the compromised FOX. They seem to be in line with the thinking of a lot of thugs, like Soros, Schwab, Johnson, Macron, Castreau, BidEns and Romney and ...well, Deep State folks.

Remove the tank rolls and civ kills for a moment from the equation, and examine what's left, and whether it's still 'Russia Russia Russia' bad or not.

IMHO, this 'war' is not between Ukraine and Russia (and now add Belaurus), it is between Deep State and the Freedom Alliance.

What bad guy remains?
I don’t think China is free in any measure.
My point is no bad guys, game over.
Western countries are acting like tyrants.
Freedom is over, game over.

Have you learned nothing over the last two years of “lockdown”?
Russia is nothing to us, our tyrants locally are.
May God forgive us, they won’t.

There is a big picture reason. Deep State going down for the count.

I don’t get where you are coming from.

None of us have perfect information.

We all have been badly wrong before. (Romney is an obvious one)

What do you want done? To insist the site as a whole stake out some opinion and push it on others as the one to have?

I respect that this place allows people with very different perspectives talk openly. Yes people get passionate. Sure people can be wrong. But we learn from each other. And we do learn from each other, even when it seems we are hardened and set.

Go ahead share your opinion! Persuade us and give us surprising information. Don’t try to control other people

Why do we fight, as in fighting Putin? I don’t think we are or should, at least not in this battle. However, in the larger never-ending war for freedom, we will probably have to fight him or his successor eventually. As long as there are communist/fascist/islamofascist countries like Russia, China, NK, Iran, etc, who like the Nazis, want to conquer and control the world, we’ll have to fight. I think in this case we individually may have some empathy for the underdog against the BIG RED DOG digging in the EU backyard.

This is a war between a globalist woke dictatorship and the holdouts (national dictatorships such as Russia, Islamic dictatorships such as Iran, and communist dictatorships such as China and N. Korea). From the point of the globalist wokesters, China and N Korea are not socialist enough. They aren’t left wing enough.

Even in Soviet Russia and Red China, even if the government controlled the means of production, the proletariat at least owned their furniture, clothing, and personal effects. They had an apartment that was their own.

In the new far far left woke utopia, “You will own NOTHING, and be happy.” Their words, not mine.

I am trying to understand you.

Are you saying that the Globalists are trying to take down Russia?

Perhaps you are right, with all of the EU piling on. I was expecting that Russia was being “awarded” Ukraine by our fake government, but I don’t know what to make of the EU pile on.

I am not the least bit interested in following our lying “press” down a rabbit hole, and I can see the Venn Diagram overlap of the neocon RINOs and the globalists. Within the US, the war drums may be being beaten to help the RINOs weather this November.
