Federal regulators on Friday issued a draft environmental impact statement saying there were significant benefits to a plan to demolish four massive dams on Northern California’s Klamath River to save imperiled migratory salmon, setting the stage for the largest dam demolition project in U.S. history.

Front row seat in watching a First World country turn into a Third World country.
Absolutely!
WTF??
Tribes that rely on the salmon for their sustenance and culture, including the Yurok and Karuk, cheered the milestone Friday.
No water for the freaking casinos then
How much water going to illegals?
How much of a climate impact from illegals going from third to first world living conditions?
All of a sudden crickets from environmentalists.
SAVE THE FISH, KILL the humans.
Does anyone stand up at any of these meetings and ask “ARE ALL YOU PEOPLE INSANE?”
Anything imperfect must be destroyed. The consequences of the destruction do not matter.
Such is the mindset of the Left.
All depends on the goal.
If the goal is the Great Reset depopulation of 90% of the human beings on the planet, it makes perfect sense.
So much for hydraulic energy...
It is insanity.
Early in my career a wise boss told me to be aware when hiring, “Stupid is forever”.
It applies to other things in life including leftist politicians.
Fish ladder
Insights welcome.
“Why doesn’t California leave dams alone and build fish ladders?”
Nothing personal, but anyone who understands liberals would know the answer to that question.
“The natives have legally valid treaties...”
Just out of curiosity, how native are the natives? Is their DNA predominately American Indian, do they speak a native language as their primary language at home, do they live in native structures....? I am just asking because in the east where I am, the Indians are not particularly Indian at all except when it comes to asserting special rights like operating casinos.
If they can impose vaccine mandates for the “common good” then they can protect out dams!
We have one FReeper who will be ecstatic over this.
He fishes in those waters and is for all free flowing water solutions.
They didn’t pay for it so.....
Shirley, you jest... You can’t expect Los Angeles to live without the water they steal from the Owens Valley. Just like San Fransisco would never give up their water coming from Hetch Hetchy.
