‘I need ammunition, not a ride’: Zelensky declines US evacuation offer

The US government offered to evacuate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from Kyiv — but he declined.

“The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” Zelensky said, The Associated Press reported, citing a senior American intelligence official with direct knowledge of the conversation.

Zelensky, 44, instead chose to remain in Ukraine’s capital as Russian forces brought the fight to the city streets, where gunfire and explosions were heard overnight Friday into Saturday.

Well, Crockett, Travis, and Bowie stayed at the Alamo and the 101st stayed at Bastogne. Fight on your feet or live on your knees.

Say what you will, but Stalin stayed in Moscow, though he was urged to leave.

I think the Russians tried to get in the city last night maybe it’s a good sign they held out until daylight. Or maybe the Russians need the light.
Certainly I think the Ukrainians have had time to prepare for street fighting.

” The only good commie is a dead commie”

I agree, but are you talking about our commies or their commies?

If Zelensky is killed, he will likely rise well above Stepan Bandera in the pantheon of Ukrainian heroes. Bandera’s legacy is clouded by his tactical alliance* with the Nazis during their occupation. Bandera was assassinated after going into exile. Zelensky will have gone out fighting. Putin may call Zelensky a Nazi, but the fact is, as a Jew, Zelensky doesn’t make a compelling Nazi.

* For some strange reason, nobody faults Stalin for his tactical alliance with Hitler. Nobody forced Stalin’s hand - unlike Bandera’s situation, German troops did not control the land Stalin stood on.

While ultimately Russia probably prevails over time if the fight drags on, I also believe the clock is quickly ticking down on Putin, I cannot believe the Generals bargained for this, they thought it would be quick and dirty.

Stalin wanted a war in the West so he could swoop in later, he punked Hitler.

Although France falling so quickly meant that the Russians would pay a huge price for it.

We still have people in Afghanistan who need rides.

Remember Mary Jo, and don’t accept rides from Democrats.

I think if it got out that Stalin fled Moscow, the morale of the Red Army would have tanked.

I wonder if he’s really lost a lot of vehicles and aircraft.

Dementia Joe, the biggest surrenderer in history.
The sleepy child abusing creep just loves surrendering to America's economies. By far the worst president in history.

So Biden leaves Unkraine unarmed. When the fighting starts Biden offers to save Zelensky.

Was this Biden's plan to get rid of Zelensky and perhaps all the dirt Zelensky has on the Biden crime syndicate? You know, tying up loose ends.

Zelensky can die on his feet fighting or die in a plane shot down by "Russian forces".

15 minutes ago Zelensky posted a live message of himself on the presidential twitter account standing outside in front of landmark building in Kiev encouraging the Ukrainian people

LOL, would have been funny if he'd been holding a "Let's Go Brandon!" sign.

How many countries have actually sent troops to help save Ukraine? None I know of.

They won’t except maybe Poland, they are all sucking natural gas from Russia. Biden is a puppet. Poland will fight because they have to or Putin is in their kitchen.

Wholy Shite!

What an epic quote. That one will live on for a LONG time.

Only thing that could be better is to see him carrying a battle rifle in addition to his plate carrier.

Good point. POTAOUS wanted the war while at the same time saying he didn’t want it, and was too dumb to realize he was escalating it.
