E.U. Responds to Russia’s Ukraine Aggression: ‘Harshest Package’ of Sanctions are Coming
Breitbart ^ | 02/24/2022 | Nathaniel Charles

The European Union (E.U.) sought to place itself in front of Russia’s territorial ambitions Thursday as it announced the “strongest, the harshest package” of sanctions to punish Moscow for the invasion of Ukraine.

No E.U. military action was promised to bolster the threats of sanctions and trade boycotts after the E.U.’s leading nation Germany only sent 5,000 helmets to Ukraine when they asked for military hardware and ammunition in the face of earlier Russian threats.

Obama did not take sides in Syria’s civil war.

HE STARTED IT.

Germany closed one of several pipelines. They closed the one that wasn’t even being used yet.

A symbolic measure at best.

Wake me up when they close the pipelines that are actually operational.

As long as the Euros keep buying 40% of their gas from the Russkies, understand that the EU sanctions are bulls—t.

He should be; he’s about to receive a strongly-worded complaint.

Countries with massive resources next to countries with large populations that need them don’t get scared; they just maintain their military to defend those resources. Anything Europe doesn’t buy, Red China and southeast Asia will.

Perhaps I was not clear enough in my previous post (not an uncommon occurrence with me). Yes, there will be sanctions against Russia. But I predict that the EU will drop those sanctions over time. They’ll need a reason for that. So they’ll make one up by citing human rights, climate change, or some other vapid thing.

Yes, Germany has closed the pipeline. But spring is on the way. Will the pipeline still be closed when the snow begins to fall next winter? I’d be surprised (and impressed) if it still was.

Yeah, what does Europe has that Russia really needs?
Russia has oil and natural gas which Europe needs to avoid freezing during winter and sweating during summer.

That could be. The rebels were Islamic jihadists who wanted to impose Sharia law on Syria. Just Obama’s type. He gave them weapons and money which they in turn gave to ISIS. All part of the plan.

Not just winter, Parts of Europe can get hot and dry in summer. Portugal right now experiencing a serious drought. The summers will be hotter. Those A/C don’t work well on wind power.

Why is the Germany so upset?

Russia is using 100% electric tanks - and their soldiers are only carrying vegan meals - their carbon footprint is zero.

There are only 2 sanctions that matter. One, throwing Russia out of the SWIFT banking system and starving them of dollars and two, disassembling, in Germany, not halting, the Nord Stream pipeline to irrevocably announce that Europe will not be taking Russian energy. This will have the desired economic impact of wrecking their economy and getting Putin’s attention.
All these other toothless sanctions Biden and the eurocrats keep threatening for public consumption while we await the inevitable outcome of Putin installing his puppet in Ukraine will eventually be removed as Putin’s little war becomes a distant memory before next winter and Europe returns to importing Russian energy while they cling to their fantasy of a 100% renewables world.

Putin will consolidate his holdings and everyone will forget. He will tell everyone that those areas are Russian and he won’t go any further and that will be that. It’ll take 10 years. Then there will be another war.
Those wars in that area have been going on for centuries.

This 10 year old map shows how Russia has Europe "over the barrel"...

I would assume these percentages have gone up in the farther West since 2012.

Finland, Czechia and Bulgaria at 100%--can't go any higher...

Also, note this is just natural gas... Not oil, gasoline/petro, by-products needed by industry, etc.
