Sunday on New York WABC 770 AM radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD) argued that President Joe Biden and his administration intended to “push people out of” fuel-based vehicles with their energy policy. Thune told host John Catsimatidis that Democrats want to be more “eco-friendly,” so they have decided to push people toward electric vehicles. “I think honestly, that’s part of the strategy,” Thune outlined. “I think it’s to push people out of, you know, fuel-based vehicles. But you are absolutely going to crush the economy and a lot of middle-income families, many of whom are not going to be able to convert to [electric vehicles].” “The requirements that we’re going to have to meet in this country for the foreseeable future are going to have to be met with fuel oil, which we have an abundance of in this country, but because of policies that are out of whack relative to what the real economy is dictating, [is] not being developed,” he added. “It’s unfortunate and sad that the United States of America is going to hat-in-hand to countries in the Middle East like the Saudis asking them to produce more energy so that we can fuel our economy here in the United States when we can do it on our own.” Thune also slammed Biden’s decision to shut down the Keystone XL pipeline and instead “support” the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. “The notion that the United States of America would shut down an American pipeline and yet … support one that Putin is using to keep his economy going … the irony of that and the absolute hypocrisy of that you can’t even fathom,” he concluded.

Gas was up 40 cents a gallon in about 2 weeks. Thank you Brandon.
Mr. Ed said he wasn’t going to be a slave to leftist idiots and bolted off Wilbur’s land.
Yep the math is not comprehendible to the enviro-nuts
If they were truly happy Biden’s helpers wouldn’t have to buy up blocks of motel rooms.
Because electricity is made with wishes.
People have blinders on — their ideology rules at the exclusion of logical thought.
So the question is... how can we prepare ourselves for the inevitability that food and fuel will be scarce?
“So the question is... how can we prepare ourselves for the inevitability that food and fuel will be scarce?”
It all depends on how scarce you project it to be. I’m not a prepper. We keep a good stock of dried/canned goods. As for energy, I just don’t have a good answer for that one.
Thirty years of government school brainwashing has set the table for this move.
I'll bet Federal law enforcement agencies will keep their gasoline-powered vehicles, though.
What they don’t realize is that the end result will be the destruction of our industrial society. End the mass production of food, either foolishly or by design, and people will starve to death. Probably before they freeze to death.
Of course, there will be wars along the way too when people get desperate.
And to think... we did it to ourselves.
And coming from a RINO’S mouth!
Ya think?
Biden’s energy policy is the same as Obama’s. Drive up oil prices until the masses buy electric cars.
Good question.
If people will believe this BS, then whatever bad happens will last longer. People are not thinking for themselves.
Maybe the way to understand it better is — what will happen when we transition from our modern industrial society to a mostly agricultural society of over 200 years ago (pre-industrial). Life was tough back then even if you had a farm and could produce food to sustain your family.
Maybe the mass of people will allow themselves to be enslaved “for a bit of bread” as society collapses.
who woke this guy up

Yet, Thune is still am anti-Trumper that prefers Biden over Trump. Time for him to be gone from the political arena.
But yet there is a class system. In those countries, the poor working class have nothing while the rich live well and off of the backs of the working poor.
It is conditioning.
We are descendants of immigrants who developed a culture of determination and independence when they came to the United States. We fought against this kind of enslavement that you mention. Our ancestors didn’t come to America to be slaves. They came here to flee slavery in its many forms. This is why foreigners have a difficulty understanding American culture and are confused when we question “our betters.” Americans should be happy is what they say.
Unfortunately, we are so far removed from those generations that we have forgotten this important bit knowledge.
Push people into a bus or legging it.
The intention IS to deprive most people of a personal vehicle. The idea is to equalize the world economy at the lowest common denominator for maximum sustainability.
Vs. battery powered vehicles?
The battery just replaces the fuel tank.
