Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that if special counsel John Durham’s allegations in his recent legal filings were true, it is worse the Nixon-era Watergate scandal.
Cruz said, “We have to see what the facts are, the allegations, what he filed in federal court, is deeply concerning. What he alleged as a federal prosecutor, a special prosecutor, is that a lawyer for the Hillary Clinton campaign conspired with a big tech executive to monitor and spy on Donald Trump, to spy on him at his home, to spy on him at his office, and indeed they were spying on the White House itself. They were spying on a sitting president.”

What will AG Garland do to stop him?
Is Ted grandstanding? The left needs to be shouted down on this one.
Is he appealing to the people who have made very little oe no effort to do anything about anything.
Except sweep it under the rug or look the other way.
Let’s look at who all the players in this mess were/are.
1) Hillary Clinton....Lawyer
2) Marc Elias....Lawyer
3) Michael Sussman...Lawyer
And on, and on, and on. They are all Lawyers. This is the real problem.
I will bet with all my savings that nothing will happen eventually. Time is changed
“People Need to Go to Jail”
Lemme know when that happens Ted.
A poitician would never say that.
Well,I could see a Trump saying that.
Mentioning Watergate and the spying and fake Russia-collusion narrative in the same breath is utterly asinine
The scale, complexity and level of conspiracy are orders-of-magnitude different. Its like comparing a hand-grenade to a tomahawk missile.
For months and months Rep. Trey Gowdy used to get air time to declaim about how Hillary and the rest were involved in crimes.(2011-2019) Nothing really happened and then he left DC for a much easier forum on TV. (2019 to present).
Talk is cheap.
They need to but won’t even be tried. Maybe a couple low level sacrificial underlings.
“Talk is cheap.”
Very cheap.
“to spy on him at his home, to spy on him at his office, and indeed they were spying on the White House itself. They were spying on a sitting president”
I ask out of ignorance: is any of that actually illegal? Does it depend on how the spying was done?
What about when Trump gets back in office ? Biden won’t be president forever you know, probably not even until next year.
I’ll admit to recently watching some Fox shows. Gowdy’s show is completely off my list of shows to watch. He was a total Mueller enabler...
*drums fingers on table*
Brace for it! Brace for it!!! {boom}

While your last sentence is true I respectively disagree with your take. Watergate is the only example in living memory of a scandal that ended an American presidency without an election. That’s a big thing that even a basically uninformed populace can relate to in terms of importance.
Durham may not agree with what AG Garland wants to do, to protect Obama, Hillary and Biden.
People (corrupt demtards) have needed to go to jail for a long time now. The Russia Hoax and the shenanigans associated with it, Trump being spied on, Hillary having evidence destroyed (cell phones, wiping servers), Comey, Wide-scale fraud in the 2020 election cycle, J6 instigators not investigated, treatment of J6 protesters... I’m sure there’s more that my mildly-caffeinated mind is recalling at this moment, especially with Ms. Clinton.
The point is - the political class has demonstrated no real traction in prosecuting (i.e., charge with a crime, argue in court and prosecute if guilty). I assume the root cause is fear of retribution.
The founders faced significant retribution for what they were doing too. Shameful that the leaders of this day in our government lack that same desire to do what is right.
