U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is moving forward with plans of invading Ukraine, echoing President Biden's warnings last week.

"Everything we're seeing tells us that the decision we believe President Putin has made to invade is moving forward," Blinken said while appearing on CBS's "Face the Nation."

Sanctions are not a serious threat.

**************

Likely more of a threat to Europe than the intended target, Russia. Sanctions will have a ripple effect on the world economy so it makes no sense to do it.

"Sanctions will have a ripple effect on the world economy so it makes no sense to do it."

Unless one is trying to destroy and remake (dare I say, "reset") the world economy, then it makes perfectly good sense.

Yes.

I saw a reference to a Drudge screaming red headline that the war was breaking out within hours if that long. Maybe 10 days ago? Good reason to avoid Drudge anyway.

But there has to be a war or Biden can’t get his polls up as a war hero wartime President saving the world. Or something like that. And look at the dynamic, bold leadership of Kammie over there. Big poll booster./S

So what, why do we care? The only people who are have a strategic interest in thus are Putin and the corrupt Biden family.

You are witnessing Biden’s slow destruction of NATO and US influence in Europe

Germany wants Norstream 2, but doesn’t want a public spat with the USA. Biden and his neocons are trying to give them one, in a desperate PR attempt to end it.

Germany and France have been meeting with Russia - without the USA

Zelensky and his defense minister have told Biden to STFU with the war-hype, its killing Ukraine’s economy

Biden/Blinken told Zelensky was told not to come to the Munich Security Conference, but he ignored them and came anyway

No, it’s not. There is no reason to invade. Ukraine is imploding economically thanks to all the hysteria.

Russia is growing in power every day, and China has its back.

No reason to invade. This is a psychological operation.

The only difference between now and before is there’s just more of more from the last time Ukraine was in this spot. ...and of course the media and Internet traffic about it.

Blinken: Putin is 'moving forward' with plan to invade Ukraine

Duh!

You don't move 150,000 troops to the border of a target for invasion, just for show or military exercises.

The Biden administration is in denial about what's about to happen, and they keep hoping that it wont happen. Sanctions and strongly worded letters won't stop what is going to happen.

Besides, Putin has blackmail material which will be used if Biden does try anything to stop the Russians. And China likewise.

Russia is growing in power every day

Lol, not sure where you came up with that, Russian economy is a mess, the whole Russian GNP is equal to the economy of one state in the US, New York.

He’s really a French Jew with loyalties to France.

He grew up in France after his mother divorced when he was 11 years old and they moved to Paris. Your typical white flag cheese eating surrender monkey. A perfect limp wrist to represent the Biden regime. /spit.

“If Putin was moving forward at the rate our top analysts say he is, he’d have been in Paris by the end of last week.”

And France would have surrendered once the Russian horde crossed the Belgian border.

That fix is already in.

When one seemingly confident about what they helped start, goes dinning.

Well, take Hillary for instance. She was so confident she would win.
They did all the cheating they could muster, but they were overly confident!

Now they need to start a war like ‘BC’ just for added measure?
