When it was her turn to speak Thursday morning, interim Conservative leader Candice Bergen said MPs were facing "one of the most serious decisions a parliamentarian can make."
She suggested that "history will not be kind" to New Democrats who choose to support the Liberal government's decision to trigger the Emergencies Act to quell anti-vaccine mandate protests that have clogged border crossings and occupied downtown Ottawa for weeks. She called it the "sledgehammer approach."
The choice by Bergen or her speechwriter to use the word "sledgehammer" probably wasn't accidental. In October 1970, when former NDP leader Tommy Douglas and most of his caucus chose to stand against Pierre Trudeau's decision to deploy the War Measures Act to end the October Crisis, Douglas famously compared the government's approach to "using a sledgehammer to crack a peanut."

It’s just to give the illusion of objectivity. The liberals have found that they can get away with a lot if they allow mild criticism or their governing, while hiding the worst crimes.
Well their worst crimes(tyranny) are being exposed now, and the CBC are quaking in their boots.

Tamara Linch. a peaceful Freedom Convoy organizer, shortly before she was arrested Thursday by Ottawa police under terrorism provisions of the Emergencies Act invoked by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Authorities also are threatening to abduct the children of truckers.

Notice how they forgot to mention the crippled woman stomped to death by one of the Gestapo’s horses, as they rode down several protestors.
Animal owners participating in the Ottawa “Freedom Convoy” protests could lose their pets, city bylaw officials warned.
Thursday morning, Ottawa bylaw officials announced that anyone participating in the on-going protests, which began over two weeks ago, could risk having their pets seized. The move to threaten pet-owners follows increased efforts by both the city and federal authorities to bring an end to the truck drivers’ protests over Canadian vaccine mandates.
“If you are unable to care for your animal as a result of enforcement actions, your animal will placed into protective care for 8 days, at your cost,” warned Ottawa bylaw on Twitter. “After 8 days, if arrangements are not made, your animal will be considered relinquished.”
While it’s unclear what the government officials mean by the term “relinquished,” the warning garnered outrage on social media, with many expressing dismay over the city’s threat.

Ottawa is a country song.
They’ll take your dog.
They’ll take your kids.
They’ll take your truck. https://t.co/oenDG0jbYH

The move to threaten protesters comes as Ottawa police and bylaw officials hand out notices to truck drivers still camped out near Parliament Hill at Wellington Street and R. O’Connor Street. Despite the warnings, protesters are yet to vacate the area.

Canadians....Trudeau Government against their own people....a very disturbing photo...speaks volumes!
Justin Castro and his administration better be on a plane to Beijing ASAP. This guy is toast and the women running this administration are toast. Especially that one Nazi bitch.
They’re not going to be there for long I don’t imagine...I expect Trudeau to run and hide and he’ll take her with him......they do enjoy each others company.
If nothing else at least the Canucks can stop wagging their fingers at us now.
She didn’t die. False alarm. Report of a rumor. Woman suffered dislocated shoulder.
Sara Carter was source of news for many, if not most. She walked back her initial report.
Too bad canadians stupidly gave up their fire arms.
What A holes.
She didn’t die, but she was certainly injured. Seeing the police just ride a line of horses into a crowd …especially one that they had already surrounded and that had no place to run or escape to…was one of the worst of the many bad images of the government “response.”
As for the other person who was trampled, a tall younger looking man, I don’t know. It looked to me like he got kicked or stomped in the head, because he fell right under the horse’s hooves. People ran forward to try to help both these people and the police pushed them back.
Btw, journalists were prohibited, and if it’s hard to get accurate information, that’s one of the reasons.
Also, the woman was a full-blooded Mohawk, one of the “First Nations” that Trudeau babbles on about.
This was an appalling, appalling event.
Like with the holocaust phrase never forget when it comes to pass and the people are back in control here in America as well as canada they must bring these Nazis to justice once and for all
