In Florida, good luck with sinkholes and water. In Austin, a nice limestone escarpment should be nice and solid. And if he fixes Austin traffic, we should build a giant Kim Jong Un size 300 foot tall statue to him. And his electric cars can run in that tunnel without fumes.
I wish him well.

No matter....Musk thinks out of the box. He’ll turn the thought into something.

Elon Musk’s Tesla automobile biz is-was built on at least 6 billion in Cali and Fed subsidies. He is OK with me, but same as Kanye he likes to have his name in the News all the time.
As in Boring will obviously not work in Miami. There is some solid limestone/coral rock beneath all the beach sand. But the limestone is inconsistent and easily fractured for seawater to work its way in.

Good luck with that in Austin what with caves strewn all about in that area as well as a fault line running through there.

Hmm I was in traffic today. In Texas. I just took it as an opportunity to say the Rosary. I need Elon musk to safe my soul?
Wow. That is some hubris.

Since the water table is about 6” down in Florida, I don’t see this plan working.

Good luck with building any transportation system in Austin, the dopers never approve of any improvement when cars are involved.

Someday only poor people will drive cars. The need for roads will be a political argument about catering to the underclass. The rest of us will get around in our jet mobiles like in the cartoon the Jetsons.

So... Texas and Miami. I noticed he didn’t mention the 101-405 interchange in CA. That must be too daunting even for him.

It would help A LOT to get illegal aliens off the road in TX and FL. Every other car has an alien driver in FL.
