Elon Musk’s Tesla automobile biz is-was built on at least 6 billion in Cali and Fed subsidies. He is OK with me, but same as Kanye he likes to have his name in the News all the time.

Inventors have been subsidized in one way or another for centuries. They would have contests to encourage inventions.
