Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and five Senate colleagues distributed a letter to colleagues stating they will not grant consent to expedite passage of a Continuing Resolution without a roll call vote on an amendment that defunds the enforcement of the remaining federal vaccine mandates.
The letter reads in part “We have consistently opposed President Biden’s federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates, which would force millions of Americans to choose between an unwanted medical procedure and being able to provide for their families. For legal, constitutional, and policy reasons, we remain not only strongly opposed to the mandates, but also firmly convinced that the risk of inaction on our part is unacceptably high.”
The Senators continue, “These COVID-19 vaccine mandates amount to a serious abuse of both federal power and executive authority. They also further strain the economic and social pressures our society currently faces, while completely ignoring existing evidence-based data on natural immunity from previous COVID- 19 infection.”
The signatories as of this release are Sens. Mike Lee (UT), Roger Marshall (KS), Cynthia Lummis (WY), Mike Braun (IN), Rand Paul (KY), and Ted Cruz (TX).

The letter was dated yesterday, so maybe he will get added.
He has been very strong on the vaccine issue—probably the first to address it with Dr. Kory.
So I am sure he will vote with them.

Oh I would not expect you to follow me, but if you followed either issue, you would no doubt have read my threads as I have been outspoken on the issues.
I support Cruz and Lee on this issue...Totally different than voting for them or any RINO. I was not a Cruz supporter unlike many here in 2014 and 2015.
And since I don’t live in Utah or TX, I am not voting for Lee or Cruz—that was never the issue. I live in a deep Blue state—no RINOs in my Senate or district. And I have a deep blue Governor, so I am not voting RINOS. But while on the subject, you say “I vote against RINOS.” Well who did you vote for in GA? I am sure you voted for none of the RINOS who ran or were in elected. GA seems to have some real problems in the Executive Office and SOS/Elections Commission...
Thank goodness there are people trying to put in solid candidates in the upcoming elections...they’re doing something. However, there will be no changes until January 2023. So I look to lone senators like Rand Paul, Ron Johnson, and even Cruz and Lee to try to make a difference on specific issues in the meantime.
If people here had half the gumption of Canadian truckers, things might change sooner than later. While Canadians are going to NOT keep on trucking, you keep on posting.

Yes we do. I and my family will be doing our part to rid GA of them. Kemp, Ralston, Raffensperger, Duncan are traitors. Duncan is not running again, but the other communist sympathizers are running. They colluded with the DNC, Soros, CCP, DOJ, CIA and RNC to destroy the sovereignty of this nation and to steal the election for personal gain.

Grandstanding was my first thought until Lee they’d tried the same procedural blockade on the last continuing resolution and got 48 GOP votes for the block. But had 2 GOP absences (which 2 is obviously key and I don’t show that) and so lost 50-48. Given that the rats are down one for awhile, IF the GOP can keep the 48 in line and present AND get their other two voting to block this is plausible. Even though experience suggests several of the 48 were casting a harmless vote to look virtuous and can find some 3xcuse to flip If needed.

You're speaking my language there FRiend. I am constantly on the lookout for people looking for ways to get involved, but I don't know where to find active people anywhere. Especially when it comes to ways that are cultural, not just limited to political.
Regarding Political—There is someone running a group called The Precinct Project (or similar name) trying to get MAGA people into Precinct Committee Chairs.

Well they hope to eliminate the mandates by holding up on the CR funding of the government from what I read. Headline is somewhat misleading.
But eliminating some Departments, right there with you ;)

Thanks for the tip. May try to catch the Beck program to hear that...That said, there is not much time as vote will be this week. Do you recall if it was towards the beginning or end of the program?
Seems like Grandstanding is a job qualification for being in politics...
I plan to call Machin and Sinema—maybe they will assist with this.
A contact I have that works for a large defense contractor told me that the company backed off the shots requirement and told employees to get tested before going into the factory or office.
One of the reasons for doing that was they found out that 10% of their work force was going to quit or retire over the shots requirement.
Not to mention the needless slaughter of all those ears. Oh, the Cornmanity!

Russ Vought (Trump OMB head) was on Bannon War Room this morning and talked about this action/defund mandates bill by the Super Six Senators...It is dealing with CMS and healthcare and military.

To your point, they actually did try before, but with Biden numbers down so far recently and pushing the deadline, it might be more effective NOW.
One large defense contractor backed out on the shots mandates, and went to the “test before coming into the office or factory”.
I was told this by a current employee; I am retired from that contractor.
