Whoopi Goldberg told her co-hosts Tuesday on ABC’s “The View” that since the presidency of Donald Trump, America has been “tipping towards the way the Taliban deals with stuff.”
Goldberg said, “I got to say, you know, I told you all this when you-know-who got elected. Remember I said it feels like we could be tipping towards the way the Taliban deals with stuff. Do you remember what you said to me? ‘I would not go that far. This is America.’ And I believe — I know people don’t understand it, but I also believe that we are much stronger than people realize, certainly much stronger than the Republicans realize. Because every bad move that you-know-who made, the Constitution said, ‘I’m sorry, you can’t do that.’ So, it is always going to be a challenge.”

It has been tipping that way for decades. Trump is the first President since Reagan to push back.

Both. Trump was knocking down statutes while the left was knocking down statues.
I remember Trump saying that if the left knocks down confederate statues of their own party heroes they won't be satisfied, they'll go after Lincoln and Jefferson next. I thought, no way. I was wrong and Trump was right. The left are the American taliban.
And not just with statues. If you're not a member of the left's cult your freedoms are taken away. If you live a Christian life contrary to the left's teachings, your business will be jizya taxed into non-existence.
Whoopie makes me wonder if the apes will catch up in the Darwinian-link scheme of intelligence before the next election.
I would like to ignore her constantly stupid analysis of things, but she’s a major public figure.
Just another self-loathing woman who is looking for an excuse for her own misery. It has to be horrible to wake up each morning and decide who am I going to blame today.
No one can argue that our government has been inclining towards Taliban style authoritarianism ever since a non-state cult approved candidate won the presidency.
