America Is Approaching Financial Doomsday: Voting Democrat Will Only Accelerate It; Republicans aren't going to help, unless we make them.

Since 1947, just two years after the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists has maintained what is known as a "Doomsday Clock." This clock is reset annually and is supposed to measure approximately how close the world is to the apocalypse due to a man-made catastrophe, with midnight representing the apocalypse and however many minutes before midnight representing how close mankind is to causing it.

Today, as I learn that the U.S. national debt has just eclipsed $30 trillion, it appears more and more likely by the day that our country is soon going to reach financial midnight. On top of that, the federal budget is closing in swiftly on $3 trillion.

Now, most fiscal conservatives are not surprised that the left-wing imbeciles in the White House and the Capitol Building are running up massive quantities of debt and burdening the American taxpayer excessively with the government's bills. I mean, hell, more than $2.5 trillion was spent on just four acts of Congress by October of 2020. And let's not forget the Biden administration's fool's gold, the bipartisan infrastructure bill of 2021, which, apparently, none of the 17 Republican senators who voted for its passage bothered to read.

If these sell-outs had bothered to read the contents of the bill, they would find a smorgasbord of pork, like the "Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program," which was allocated $500 million literally to demolish perfectly good infrastructure and completely redesign the layout of entire communities to make access to them more "equitable."

But no, 17 members of the Senate who were supposed to be fiscally responsible decided to obsequiously bow down to Caesar Biden's demands.

But no, 17 members of the Senate who were supposed to be fiscally responsible decided to obsequiously bow down to Caesar Biden's demands.

But then, are they actually fiscally responsible? In the past few years, Republicans have become nearly as fiscally reckless as Democrats. Donald Trump, in just four years, added $8 trillion to the national debt. Barack Obama, who added more to the debt than all of his predecessors combined, added only $9 trillion in eight! And Jeff Van Drew, who made headlines when he switched political parties from Democrat to Republican shortly after he was elected to Congress, and who also happens to be the representative of the district in which I live in New Jersey, voted in favor of the bill in the House — and this man claims to be a fiscal conservative.

Politicians do as donors require them to do. Unless there are consequences, and there are none. When was the last time you saw a politician held accountable for reckless spending?

Caligula only had one horse as a senator. Xiden has 17 horses’ asses.

Joe Biden & Congress have inflation cranked up to about 10% a year.

That’s like making $3 trillion of the national debt vanish yearly by cheating ordinary people who get token interest rates from banks, etc.

Joe has been reported to be very pleased with this inflation. Most of America’s older folks are upset, however.

Collapsing the US financial system is part of the plan. It will be easy for the deep state to take over at that point.

The 49% can always be cheated by the 51%.

That’s democracy (and idiocy) in action.

Yes. They work for them, not the voters.

Bloated progressive-woke government and all its politicians, cronies and employees survive on massive government spending and debt, in our fiat currency

Take that away - and the woke left dies immediately.

“We MUST STOP re-electing Bush League Republicans!”

Almost all politicians are dishonest liars. One must do what it takes to win the votes.

The solutions lay in limiting government power to regulate, spend, tax and borrow.

The Dems want the economy to tank and will do anything to disrupt the November elections. By November, marshal law will be declared. There may not be an election.

It’s part of the plan. First they destabilize the civil order. Then they take advantage of the situation and establish the kind of totalitarian government they want.

They cranked up inflation to make us miserable. Then they will pretend to try to help, by taking money from anyone who still has any and giving it to those who don’t. With no one any longer producing, the currency will collapse. Then there will be runaway inflation, with rates worthy of Venezuela.

The ruling elite won’t care. They are protected. The folks will be hurt bad.

Republicans are not going to be able to help unless...

a. the democrats nuke the filibuster, so that the Republican Senate can pass legislation over a democrat filibuster of 40.

b. or we get 60 seats in the Senate.

That was the issue during the Trump years...
- Pelosi and Schumers lock step screwed us over.

If we used the same formula that we used in the 70’s it is easily over 20% inflation

I despise the GOPe as much as anyone here. Perhaps more given that my main concern at this point in life is the future I leave for my children/grandchildren. The GOPe are not fiscally conservative. They are also chock full of neocons that waste blood and treasure.

Many on the right who loved Trump fail to understand that the GOPe is our first fight.

Without controlling the GOP we are just pissing and yelling into the wind. It’s a two party game in DC. Without cleaning out the GOP and assuming its power we have lost the nation.

There is no other course of action. I see lots of people here and elsewhere saying “I am done with the GOP”. I despise them too, but if we cannot clean out the GOP and assume its power how do we expect to save the Republic?

Take over the GOP first and fill it with MAGA. Not because the brand deserves our loyalty. They do not. It’s because we are in the cage and there are two weapons on the floor. If we do not wield one of them (and do it well) we stand no chance.
