While you’re counting your winnings, at least I have a better understanding of why Putin was willing to pretend that Biden was President at the G7.

As I said, now we know what Russian collusion looks like. Russia rebuilds the Soviet Union and Democrats undermine America while stealing everything they can get their hands on.

If you were a valuable member of the platform/publishing community who brings a lot to the table, Amazon should consider it.

Yea, Ukraine is not valuable to be in NATO. It works as an escalation point. Russia should put Nukes in Cuba and see what the response would be. Or better yet have an agreement with Mexico that guarantees the safety of Mexicans along the southern boarder under the same policy (an attack against one Mexican is an attack on Russia). What could go wrong?!?

“Where did it say he retracted it?”

“Wow, hold up!

I took the liberty of listening to the interview with the Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.K. on BBC Radio 5, he actually denied at 1:21:00 that he believes Ukraine will remove its goal on joining NATO. Listen at 1:21:00.”

Yea, Ukraine is not valuable to be in NATO.
***Sudetenland wasn’t particularly valuable but if we had dealt properly with the local bully Hitler instead of appeasing him, we mighta saved 150 million lives. Those lives were certainly valuable.

It works as an escalation point.
***And as a de-appeasement point. Learning from history.

Russia should put Nukes in Cuba and see what the response would be.
***They already DID, triggering the Cuban Missile Crisis. Learning from history.

Or better yet have an agreement with Mexico that guarantees the safety of Mexicans along the southern boarder under the same policy (an attack against one Mexican is an attack on Russia). What could go wrong?!?
***Your analogy goes off into the weeds because the vast majority of Mexicans wouldn’t want to join the Russian Federation or whatever the Soviet mask is called now.

Of course I know what Russia did in Cuba which is why I used the example which seems to have gone over your head. The U.S had a very strong reaction. I would expect no less from Russia.

Im sure the polls that you focus on are incredibly accurate in regards to what Mexico might think of Russia or what Uranians might think of NATO but i’ll suggest a poll based policy is completely foolish in this case. Not to mention much of the country also wants closer ties with Russia. Just like West Virginia and California differ greatly on issues so does east/west Urakine. Nevertheless, if they wish to distance themselves with Russia or not is not my business. I don’t know what they want and I suspect you don’t either. Border country with Russia in NATO is a bad idea and would never find my support. It’s not appeasement at all. It’s that I fully agree with Russia in not having a trip wire on their border. Another nation that won’t meet their 2% bare minimum spending is not a winning strategy for the treasury either.

Kevmo said:

“Well, I'm an AmericaFirster Trumplican, so my viewpoint would be that we'd gain a good ally in NATO. That's what's in it for us. We'd get someone who needs NATO to stand up to Russian bullying just like Sudetenland needed sumthin like that when Hitler was bullying them — if we had not employed the policy of appeasement there coulda been 150 million lives saved.”

“…if we had not employed the policy of appeasement there coulda been 150 million lives saved. Maybe we'd be saving 150 million more.

Then Kevmo says:

***You wanna appease the bear, and we already did that & 150 million lives were lost.

Can you please give any sort of confirmation of US appeasement leading to 150 million murders?
***It was EuroPEAN appeasement. World War 2, which would have been avoided if we had handled Sudetenland properly.

You keep throwing that number around and it has no basis.
***WW2. Sudetenland. Hitler. Appeasement. 150M dead.

There were roughly 60 million World War 2 casualties resulting in death which at the time was more than 2.5% of the overall world population.

http://www.worldwar2facts.org/world-war-2-casualties.html

That total casualties number includes the Japanese-related deaths. The US and the world did not appease Japan and the US did not appease Germany, leading up to WW 2. You also seem to have greatly inflated death numbers and an inability to separate the US from your collective “We.”

NATO did not exist until years after WW 2. NATO and the US did not appease Germany or Russia through the Cold War years, which had activities along the lines of what you want done with the Russia and Ukraine conflict.

You believe it is a Trump-supported position to go against Russia with Ukraine, despite no evidence.

In short, no one could begin to determine what is truth with any of your words, when so many have absolutely no basis in fact.

What is your position on UFOs or ants controlling our minds? Perhaps that answer would shed light on where your mind is.

I’m okay with Wikipedia as the starting point.
70,000,000 to 85,000,000 dead from WW2
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties#:~:text=An%20estimated%20total%20of%2070,war%2Drelated%20disease%20and%20famine.
So 150M is an exaggeration. Maybe.

Do YOU accept it was 70 to 85M that died due to ww2? The whole thing coulda been avoided if we had not appeased Hitler. Japan would never have directly attacked the US if Europe wasn’t fighting.

You also seem to ... an inability to separate the US from your collective “We.”
***Well, WE as a global community lost tens of millions due to Hitler going on a rampage in WW2 due to the nonsense appeasement approach towards him. We as a community of people opposed to fascism lost tens of millions. We as the USA lost only a few million. That takes a lot longer to write than just “WE”. You want that level of hyperaccuracy then eventually it will be required of YOU.

NATO did not exist until years after WW 2.
***History existed before NATO. Learn from history.

NATO and the US did not appease Germany or Russia through the Cold War years,
***Europe sure as hell did.

which had activities along the lines of what you want done with the Russia and Ukraine conflict.
***Well now, let’s have YOU be superduper accurate in your writing along THESE lines, since you are conceding my point that there were “activities along these lines” and those activities included appeasement of a local bully. Go ahead, we’re waiting.

You believe it is a Trump-supported position to go against Russia with Ukraine, despite no evidence.
***Trump was basically an isolationist and he thought Europe wasn’t paying their dues with NATO. He would probably not have engaged in appeasing Putin because... he’s so much smarter than that and this appeasement thing is what Europe is doing while Biden is trying to use the conflict as a wag the dog scenario. Trump would have no problem with allowing a dues-paying member to join NATO to counteract the local bullying of Putin, which is why PUtin was quiet when Trump was in power.

In short, no one could begin to determine what is truth with any of your words,
***You have such a high standard for others, throwing out ALL they write [”any of your words”] that I look forward to you applying this standard to yourself.

when so many have absolutely no basis in fact.
***You found ONE exaggeration. It has a basis in fact: The democide counters say “Moreover, even the toll of war itself is not well understood” with their obvious pointers to tens of millions MORE killed than the official tally.
https://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/CHARNY.CHAP.HTM

What is your position on UFOs
***Why bring up this whataboutism? You wanna have that discussion? I’ll be glad to post it, since I wrote a book about it.

or ants controlling our minds?
***I, for one, welcome our new ant overlords.

Perhaps that answer would shed light on where your mind is.
***I think you’re just lookin’ for excuses to be petulant.

I do not agree with Wikipedia’s numbers, simply due to it literally saying “Citation Needed” for that very range (take a look at your source in the text) and my source gathered it from the countries involved and our own US archives and gives the reference to our archives and even gives the equipment it was gathered on and taken from.

I completely disagree with your belief that the US appeased Hitler.

You seem to want to push an alternate source than wikipedia or the democide folks. Why not just let it sit at “tens of millions of dead” that could have been avoided by not appeasing Hitler?

I know why not: You wanna argue some petulant point, so go ahead and argue your petulant point. There’s nothing stopping you. Go ahead and throw in UFOs and Ant Overlords while you’re at it.

I will agree that history shows at least some tens of millions died from WW 2 and that Europe appeased Hitler.

If this is true, and what I said above this post is true, it is the equivalent of undoing the Euromadian, and restoring Yakunovitch to power. It would essentially give Ukraine to Putin and Communists.

Euromaidan was a McCain/CIA-led coup and Yanukovitch was Ukraine's freely and lawfully elected leader.
