Homicides have skyrocketed over the past year. In 2021, several cities hit new records for murders, The Wall Street Journal reported. But children are increasingly becoming the victims of these violent crimes.
In 2021, 311 children died from gun violence in the United States, the Gun Violence Archive reported.
That is a 48 percent increase from the 210 children who were shot to death in 2019.

I don't. The coroner ruled that Floyd died from heart failure caused by a massive overdose of street drugs. Chauvin didn't kill him. He's in jail because he got an OJ jury.

What is the meaning of the term “homicide”? A homicide happens when one person kills another person. Self defense deaths and defense of others deaths are included in “homicides”. An increase in these deaths is a good thing, and supports the need for more firearms.
Later the article reverses terms, saying that “210 children who were shot to death in 2019.” “Shot to death” includes suicides. By a large margin suicides are the leading cause of gun deaths, and can’t, by any stretch, be blamed on guns.

I seem to remember there have been several children shot to death peripherally to gang shootings in Chicago recently.
