The Russian military said today it caught a US submarine in its far-east waters and drove it out with 'appropriate means' after the vessel ignored a Russian request to leave, Interfax news agency has reported.
The encounter came as Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden held a high-stakes phone call, as a tense world watched and worried that a Russian invasion of Ukraine could begin as soon as Wednesday.
Biden warned his Kremlin counterpart that the United States 'will respond decisively and impose swift and severe costs on Russia' should it invade Ukraine.

“The Russian military said today it caught a US submarine in its far-east waters and drove it out with ‘appropriate means’ after the vessel ignored a Russian request to leave”
From past experience this probably happens to both sides more often than the general public is aware of.
Ridiculous. This isn’t the Red Army of 1945. Just like the US army isn’t the same one who massacred Indian women and children on the frontier.
The Pentagon doesn’t control Britain’s troops. The pentagon ordered all US troops out of the Ukraine
Apparently the idea of advisers leading to actual troop deployment hasn’t crossed your mind
There were troops there. The Pentagon ordered them to leave
Let’s ask members of the former Soviet block....hmmm?
is that kinda like the Straights?
I think this refers to the Sea of Japan.
thx
Re US involvement, the Bulgarian (alias Tyler Durden) who owns Zerohedge - a big Putin supporter - suggests that Biden raised the possibility of direct US involvement:

2) the Russian air force in action over Korea

3) Russian air defense units deployed in North Vietnam against US aircraft

4) the destruction of a company-sized Russian element in Syria that was raining ordnance on an American unit stationed there

Just remember the book from the 90’s The Bear and The Dragon. China makes nice with Russia and eventually tries to take over the the east for it’s timber and mineral riches. China doesn’t want Russia they want Russia’s assets. I think we’re watching this play our in real time.
Of course we have military personnel in Ukraine. We have embassy security, military mission staff and even training personnel.
That doesn’t mean the equivalent of a tactical combat force.
Goodness.
I am amazed that folks are as uninformed or ignorant as they appear to be.
Sorry, nothing personal intended, just an observation as a military professuonal with awide range of experiences regarding how these things work.
I know that....But Britain has pulled their troops out of Ukraine.
“No doubt looking for an aspirin factory. Just like the other Dem warmongers. “
Biden will just have the Burisma and Ministry of Justice offices bombed instead.....
Ya know, gotta tie up those loose ends and all.
Isn’t the location of our subs are top secret, so there’s no way to confirm or deny the Russian claim.
WTH?
VERY stern!
So the west basically is saying good luck folks
The Pentagon would not make a press release about removing troops from the embassy. The state dept seperately announced closing the embassy
No doubt. 😆
We have advisors all over the place. Nothing new about that.
Not a he point
