Republican candidate for Michigan governor James Craig leads Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) by eight points among independents in a race that is essentially tied, according to a new poll.
The survey found that 41 percent of independents would vote for Craig, compared to just 33 percent support for Whitmer. Overall, Whitmer’s lead is less than one percent, bringing the race to a statistical tie, with 44.3 percent of likely voters supporting her, compared to 43.7 percent for Craig.

That Whitmer is slightly ahead tell you all you need to know about the useful idiots in this country.
Only by 8 points?
They’re slouching.
Telegraphing the amount of mail ins needed to effect the steal.
Time for Gremlin to update her resume.
I’ve never heard of this polling company, looks like a local outfit. The crosstabs look OK, but this poll is a dead heat and the election is not until November. Doesn’t mean much.
Bad news for Gestapo Gretchen if she’s already just about tied by a guy most people in the state probably don’t even know yet.
There hasn’t been a one-term governor here in MI for over a half a century going back to the 60s’.
Plus I get to vote against that turncoat RINO Rep. Meijer in the primary because of the current redistricting.
In a way we get to vote against the demented drooling fool in the White House!
She is under water, i.e., less than 50%, by a lot. When the incumbent is at 44%, she is in trouble. Big trouble.
Whitler just threatened to get the Feds involved in the trucker strike. Fck her.
I often wonder if Thaddeus McCotter would be a good senator. Intellectual. He’d bring out the thinking gene in the non-thinkers. Similar to Rand Paul without all the fighting.
wHitler has got all the Michigan Dominion voting machines solidly in her column.
Good news. The cheat limit is about 3-4%. So 8 is what is needed. Especially with a rat SOS.
James Craig will have a hard time in November. When it comes to a Governors race blacks have a hard time being seen as executive material. A police chief follows the rule of written law. A senator is partisan-they’re supposed to be. There. may be just enough lingering racism in Michigan where they won’t pull the lever for him.
It reminds me of Herman Cains’ run for the senate (2004). He lost the primary to Issakson. He would have won in November and given the GOP a good black representative-not window dressing. Then there’s T.W. Shannon Oklahoma’s house speaker-not good enough to beat Lankford in the primary for Tom Coburn’s seat(2014). Paleface Lankford beat him by 20 points.
Opportunities. Are we proud on Issakson and Lankford? We could have been very proud of our black candidates even if they went wobbly from time to time. Tell me Lankford/Issakson never did. If Republicans can’t pull the lever for a good black candidate what makes you think the ALL the voters of Michigan will?
My 2+ cents.
She’s an idiot as always.
The Truckers are on the Canadian side.
Does she want a minor incursion or something?
She has $10 million that she hasn’t spent yet.
So far she’s been getting press (free commercials) by giving away lots of free money to the freakin’ lazy a$$ teachers of all people.
Teachers. Then you concentrate on education. Moms. Men voted for Granholm because looking at her made them think of Marylin Monroe. She was a ditz too but it didn’t matter. Tell me what the current governor has going for her besides money. Incumbency is tough to crack but when it does eyebrows are raised.
John James?
