Biden says he’s done ‘deep dive’ on ‘about 4’ Supreme Court candidates

President Biden said Thursday in his first TV interview of 2022 that he’s done a “deep dive” on “about four” possible candidates to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.
“What I’ve done is I’ve taken about four people and done the deep dive on them, meaning these thorough background checks, and see if there’s anything in the background that would make them not qualified,” Biden told NBC news anchor Lester Holt.

Every year there are a bunch of words and phrases I hope to see abolished, or at least run out of style. ‘Deep Dive’ is one of them.
Another is ‘root causes’.
There are a lot of others, but I’m tired and can’t think of them all now...
