A self-proclaimed' old-school junkie' who moved from Texas to San Francisco because 'it's f*****g easy' to be homeless there claims he's being paid by the city government to live on the streets, getting $620 in cash per month and hundreds of food stamps while he sells Narcan and enjoys Amazon Prime and Netflix on his phone.

I suppose the Infratructure bill is going to replace their 0 phones when they provide new crack pipes.

This is epic! Even better than the #1 Rule of “Never Drink and Dial!”. Now we have “Never take a Xanax/Opiate and talk to a news reporter!” This dudes obviously tuned in nicely and when he comes down will have some major regrets as he’s now the homeless camp celebrity/public enemy #1.

No, they don't just "put up with it." They actively encourage it. They pay lots of money for MORE homeless bums. The "homeless" industry is huge and well connected politically. Just follow the money. It's just like the illegal alien "problem" and the racism "problem" and the global warming "problem." They are all huge industries with tens of thousands of people making huge money making sure those problems grow larger every year.

I'm surprised you people are just finding all this out. When the story first broke, it was $200/wk, and san fran was doing it to give addicts money for drugs. Their reasoning was that addicts would not have to rob and steal.
Forget the homeless. We need to deport every person on the democrat voter rolls. They are the cancer that plagues America.

Hanging drug dealers would be a start, but you’ve got to stop the drug importation from Mexico and China. To do that, you’ve got to stop paying off the political bosses who look the other way.

I have a long-time friend who was a hairdresser for over 30 years. After she had to have surgery on her dominant thumb, and could no longer do the job, she applied for Social Security Disability, and never received anything close to that much money each month.

Liberal cities don’t merely tolerate homeless, they actively encourage it. It may be about siphoning off money, it may be about creating chaos and priming the middle class for much worse to come, or it may be just to feel better about themselves. In any event, homelessness is actively, intentionally encouraged. That is why they subsidize it. They want more. I would go so far as to say, having a huge homeless population shows how “woke” your city is. “See, we have all these homeless we care for.”

When I was in San Fran 10-15 years ago, we went to a restaurant by the wharf and we were talking to our waitress about all the homeless, beggars etc. and she said it was getting to a point where there was less effort to beg then work. Said that most of the people in her apartment building didn’t work.
