US Gun Sales Collapsed Last Month

Gun violence has become a regular part of the news headlines this year. Murders in American cities spiked last year, particularly in large cities. Guns were involved in most of these. According to the Gun Violence Archive, there already have been 4,706 gun deaths across the country so far in 2022. Even with more strict gun ownership and purchasing laws, the difficult fact is that about 400 million guns are currently owned by private citizens, the police and the military. The chance that civilians who own guns will turn them into the government, no matter what the incentive, is small. Gun sales, using the NICS Firearms Background Check as a proxy, reached 38,876,673 last year. This was down slightly from the record set in 2020 of 39,695,315.

There are several theories about the sharp rise in gun sales over the past two years. Among them is the violence in American cities during protests. Another is the fear that people might have to protect their property during the pandemic, even if this is absurd.

"Check out the Ruger LCP Max. Pocket pistol that holds 10 rounds and you can get a 12-round magazine that fits better in your hand."

It's on the short list. Considering also getting its clone that is chambered for .22 rimfire for cheaper practice.

There was briefly a reduction during Trump’s time but all the BLM and rioting occurred.

That resulted in some interesting unintended consequences for the communistas. That ended up scaring minorities, women, the apolitical, libbies and mundane urban dwellers into arming up however they could, broadening the armed demographic way beyond just us MAGA yokels. MORE guns with MORE people than ever now. There isn't the buying frenzy like there once was, but folk I mostly see these days at the gun counter are women buying pistols. Wife accompanied by husband, girlfriend with boyfriend, girlfriend with girlfriend or whatever.

It sure did. Does anyone realize since Nobama’s rule, Americans have become armed to the teethe? Some things to ponder: the US in WW2 manufactured 5 billion rounds of small arms ammunition. Every year since Nobama’s reign, 5 plus billion rounds of ammunition each YEAR has been bought by the public!
The communist manifesto states the first step in gaining absolute power is to disarm the public- it is impossible to gain control when the “ peasants” own such quantities of guns and ammo. As our government is turning more authoritarian each year,( expect more), a blow off is assured. Everyone knows our government and agencies have been corrupted, question is when does the FBI, DOJ, etc make that final fatal overstep? A Ruby Ridge or Waco will NOT get brushed under the rug in these times.

I’ve had no issue getting ammo, but the price keeps going up. https://www.ammoman.com Steel or brass, 500-1,000 rounds of AR 15, I use .38 sp for my carry piece. Chose plain box, so know one knows what’s in it, usually has a sale on. Some one on the Ping list suggested them, 3 days later a FedX box shows up. https://www.ammoman.com/223-556 AR15 ammo.

Read the reviews first before ordering. Have a better site let us know. Since my gun range is closed and up for sale, I’ve no place to practice.

“I mean in what world do I need 2000 rounds of 45-70?’

You never know, a thundering herd of 2001 elephants may come charging down your street.
