President Joe Biden on Tuesday praised an Australian company that makes chargers for electric vehicles for agreeing to build a manufacturing facility in Tennessee, saying the plant will "have a ripple effect" far beyond the state.
The company, Tritium, and the White House say the new plant will produce up to 30,000 electric vehicle chargers per year and create 500 local jobs.
"The new manufacturing facility Tritium announced today is more than just great news for Tennessee. Yes, it's going to create more than 500 good-paying jobs in Tennessee, but it can deliver greater dignity and little more breathing room to workers and their families," Biden said at a White House event on the administration's efforts to revamp American manufacturing, create jobs and lower energy costs for Americans.
The President also said it was "another example of what America could achieve" through bipartisanship, namely through the passage of his bipartisan infrastructure law. He also made a point to thank Tennessee's Republican Gov. Bill Lee for his involvement in getting the facility to his state. He noted that later this week, the Biden administration will announce its state-by-state allocation for $5 billion in funding for electric vehicle chargers.

How much did they pay Hunter?
Biden grasping at straws.
Where do they get the power from?
Big guy better have gotten 10%
Just look at what government can buy…on credit. Bring on more government subsidized electric car chargers! I see plenty—unoccupied and unused—but we need more.
Hey! I’m all for electric cars…and chargers. If you want them, just buy them with your own money. Don’t use government to steal from other citizens.
Each charging station comes with a built-in gasoline powered generator.
Big guy better have gotten 10%—More like 13% if they are paying in Oz dollars.
Well, they could build dams and power plants on the Tennessee River.
“...produce up to 30,000 electric vehicle chargers per year and create 500 local jobs...”
Another Solyndra bankruptcy, with US Taxpayers’ monies.
MAYBE you can charge your cell phone.
Another Solyndra with a Brandon profit motive?
How do the chargers charge? LOL
“Each charging station comes with a built-in gasoline powered generator.”
Wait... You mean you have to carry gallons and gallons of fuel in your trunk to dump into the generators?
And you still have to buy the gas!
Or am I not understanding something here?
They hate Tesla, which is a good enough reason to love Tesla.
LOL
Which will help those out west in what way exactly? :)

nonetheless, it’s better Tritium set up a factory in US, because Australia has 3.22 people/sq km, which puts Australia 228th in the world in terms of population density. good luck Aussies paying for all the chargers to satisfy all the major political parties in their quest to put EVs on Australian roads because of gloBULL warming!
