The governors of four states announced plans Monday to lift statewide mask requirements in schools a month or two from now, citing the rapid easing of COVID-19′s omicron surge.
The decisions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey and Oregon were announced as state and local governments grapple with which COVID-19 restrictions to jettison and which ones to keep in place. The changes also come amid a growing sense that the virus is never going to go away and Americans need to find a way to coexist with it.

Obviously, the polling data for November must be catastrophic for them to cut short the plan to create a permanent demonrat underclass by dumbering the children
I suppose continuing to thirdworldinate the population is the only feasable plan in the short term

From what I’m told in Oregon they have instituted mandatory mask law and can reinstate at any time.
That is SO GREAT!!! Never been a big fan of the Nutmeg State, but goshalmighty I love this!!!
Interesting this article is in the Baltimore Sun, and didn’t read it, but what is R Gov Hogan (whom they love, he was re-elected with something like 60% of the vote and who is term limited) doing?
My 9 yo grandson is now a single issue voter: Masks, yay or nay. If you are nay, he is with you, if you are yay, he’s agin.
Pretty sure this mind set will stay with this very smart boy for the rest of his life. So these mope in charge should THINK for once in their live.
The Portland Maine City Council is hearing testimony right now on rescinding their mask mandate. Only three of 15 plus people have spoke in favor keeping the mandate. All of the written comment has been to rescind.
Portland Mask Mandate has been Repealed. But, you have still wear a mask for 10 days. I am shocked at how quickly they did this. I fully expected a prolonged conversation and some shenanigans to keep it going.
Oregon just screwed it’s citizens regarding masks. People think masks are going away by March 31st, and they may, BUT they instituted a PERMANENT Mask rule thru the Oregon Health Authority. OHA can bring back mask mandates ANYTIME, and now if you are in violation you can be subject to a $500 fine.

Local governments can continue their own indoor masking requirements and last week Los Angeles County’s health officials said they intend to keep theirs in place beyond the state deadline.
So how do you prove you have been vaccinated? Will someone in the store ask for your credentials?
Newsom still wants school children (not his own of course) to wear masks.
I live in LA county. I wonder if anyone will enforce the madness after next week?

I think Governors, Mayors and Nation leaders are giving it thought do they want their cities traffic and business tied down...again...only it’s the people speaking this time.

In the area where I live, this pandemic of stupidity ended in May of 2020.
People here in NJ continue to wear the masks indoors voluntarily, and not N95s either. It’s a hard habit to break for the morons in my state.
