On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) discussed the state’s plan to lift mask mandates in schools. Murphy defended the decision to impose the mandate in the first place, but couldn’t cite any data showing the mandates worked and that the numbers in states like New Jersey that had school mask mandates were different from states that didn’t.

Well, at first pretty much almost everyone thought that masks would help. Only a few said they wouldn’t. The pols didn’t have much choice at first but to go ahead with it, I guess But as it became clear that masks are worthless the pols and others who are incapable of admitting a mistake all doubled down. No amount of facts or evidence can ever change their opinions. But that’s true on any other subject that they are involved in. Being “right” is more important than reality. This is may be the main reason that society gets in trouble. The need to be right in the face of everything outweighs all evidence. They would rather see death and destruction than to admit an error.
He can’t site data that show masks work because there ain’t none.
Every time I imitate this guy, and his squeaky voice I always say “God bless and God willing.”
And sure enough, when he is cornered by Tapper, he goes right there invoking God. As if this POS commie tyrant believes that there is any God other than himself. Yah, right.
Masks are as worthless as the people who voluntarily wear them (and often support the idiotic mandates).

There is no data.
Unbelievably, 25 months after the first US cases, the “world’s premier public health agency” has not conducted one randomized controlled trial of mask use and COVID transmission - and, what they have published as “research” in the field is an embarrassment.
Maybe with Zucker's ouster, the worm has turned at the Democrat propaganda outlet, aka CNN.
No, don't rewrite recent history. Supreme Fauci said exactly the opposite from the get go along CDC studies.
Fauci said that but a lot of other medical types recommended masks.
