US manufacturing revived by supply chain chaos

American factories are calling production back home as supply chain bottlenecks continue to cause an international nightmare for the movement of overseas products.

The Rodon Group – a plastic component manufacturer in Hatfield, Pennsylvania – told FOX Business' Jeff Flock on "Varney & Co." Tuesday that the company is reshoring various products previously made in China like lip balm containers in 20 different colors, tinker toys by the millions and COVID-19 testing readers for hospital usage.

The Rodon Group President Michael Araten has been in the reshoring business for decades but the current state of the economy, bogged down by supply chain and inflation woes, has increased return to the states.

Hopefully they can find capable people willing to work hard.

There is no need for the federal government to be buying any critical components from foreign sources. The fact the Army needed to buy their berets from China was a big indicator of how far we’ve slipped. If we need it to go to war, we should source from U.S. sources.

The Bilderbergs always finance both sides of all wars.

There are huge domestic supply chain issues, many stemming from Wuhan paranoia where workers are idled for days if they sneeze at work.

This is government caused.

I’m in the manufacturing sector.

There are good signs on the horizon.
The beauty of it, is its happening without major tariff increases.
Its happening out of necessity, so both free traders and domestic industrialist can put aside their ideological grudge match.

Its a win win scenario for our country.

My company is heavily affected by supply chain issues from Asia.

Time to bring the factories back to the United States.

They won’t get too far if they don’t concurrently offshore our labor unions.

“ There are good signs on the horizon.”

Yes, and the proliferation of robotics doing more low skill and min wage labor should make for a nice economic boom by the time Trump or DeSantis is in charge.

Actually we offshored the manufacturing sector and you will be paying through the nose with or without unions.

Its called scarcity of manufacturers. I’m non union and we are jacking prices through the roof, regardless.

The unions that need to be destroyed are the Public employee unions.

You’re correct about robots.

Its still not a panacea for correcting our misalignment of labor & capital over the last 30 years.

My newest CNC machines have good robot capabilities but they still can’t meet the demand for at least 3 years. Lack of larger building size capacity and high real estate valuations are a hurdle. So is an office based work force.

Nope, we aren’t “roboting” our self out of this problem. Just watch what happens over the next decade.

And I, and my Army of Gardeners, will be planting Victory Gardens to feed us all! :)

Bring it, Brandon!
